Very Yummy
I am totally new to cooking Indian food but I did find a recipe for pad thai ...ok I'm about to mix up asian cultures forgive me it seems tamarind is used by many in the far east and I am a clueless American but mind you an adventurous eater so while I shied away from actually buying the sour tamarind paste on Amazon fearing I would somehow fumble the recipe I came across this ready made sauce which already has the sugar in it and boy is it good. It definitely is a dipping sauce it can be incorporated into anything. It will also make anything taste better...bland rice, dull breaded fish or spice up some manufactured asian meals like I am going to do and dream up lots of other ways to use use it because it is so good. If there is anything meantime to describe the word piquant this is it. The perfect harmony of sour, sweet, salty, ginger, cumin.y, chili goodness.

Not a long shelf life for price
I spent almost 15$ to get a bottle that expires in 5 months

Good, but spicy
Tastes good, but too spicy for a child.

Good Stuff.
This taste as close to the homemade tamarind sauce I would pay extra to get a tiny capful when I buy curry roti from the Caribbean restaurants. No more paying extra. I don't know why I can't find this in the international markets in my area anymore. Surprised to see it on amazon. It's gotten very expensive from when I could find it in the stores

Most flavorful authentic taste!
I LOVE tamarind sauce! I have made my own and tried several different brands...this one is the BEST! I first tried it at a friends house when they made me chaat (Indian style "nachos") and fell in love. I couldn't find this in stores and was so happy to find it online! It has a slightly spicy, sweet flavor and goes great with Indian and Thai dishes! I will be buying this again as soon as I run out. I highly recommend!

Highly recommended.
After being introduced to tamarind, we checked the local chain stores but didn'the have any luck. We use it where soy sauce is called for, and in some cases, we mix the two together. The result has more flavor, but don'the use it on a very mild flavor dish, or that will be all that you taste. Highly recommended.

LIKELY NOT GLUTEN FREE
This is imported. After using once, 2 family members thought they were contaminated with gluten but since this says gluten free on the bottle, I didn't think it was the source of the contamination. However, I used it a second time later in the week and the same thing happened. The "gluten-free" label is not like a normal label you see when it is certified so please be wary if you are celiac. The taste was nice though so if you are not celiac or gluten-sensitive.
