Bacova Guild Classic Berber Skid-Resistant Accent Rug, Fairlawn, 40"x24"

I purchased this Rooster Rug for my kitchen. Received it today and I just love it! It is just as pictured and the binding around the edges seems to be well done. Just the right thickness - not flimsy, but ok to put in the washing machine. I don't dry my rugs in the dryer so the fact that it says to lay flat or hang to dry was not an issue. I was concerned because I had read there wasn't non skid backing but there is - it's just so well done it doesn't look like there's any. Not that thin stuff that you can guess would flake off in a few months. It's just the right size and lays well. I've been looking for a new rug for awhile and the price is great on this one. Now we'll see how it holds up with my 3 dogs. I live in the mountains so my rugs have to hold up to both paws and dirt. This looks like it will do both. Will update review in a few months.

I had a similar rug inside my front door for many years but it was faded and losing its non-skid backing. Looking for something similar, I found this item. It is fairly thick and has good color now. I don't know how it will hold up but the design is printed on and may not survive many washings. For now, it looks good.

This is a nice hearth rug. Unique, and goes with both a rustic and modern house. I have a wood stove recessed into a fireplace, with a reasonable hearth, but I also have wood floors, so needed the extra protection. It's a sturdy little rug, and I've watched the occasional flaming ash drift out onto it with no damage to the rug. It's neutral in color, and I love the pine needles and pine cone motif around the border. While it's advertised as a "chickadee border," there are only three of them, and you have to look hard to see them (which was fine with me... I wanted it for the pine needles and pine cones, not the chickadees). It's cute, it's practical, it protects my wood floor, and it's resistant to the occasional popped ember or ash. I recommend it!

Nice little rug. I am using it in front of my wood burning stove, cover over the burned spots in our rug and hopefully prevent more in the future. It does have chickadees, but it more pine cones and pine needles. Don't really notice it is birds unless you look for them. I don't think it is fire proof, but should catch any flying embers, and for the price, if it lasts a few years it will be well worth the money.

Not quite as thick as some of the others we've found, but it does the job. I like it because I feel like I can keep it out year round, and not just at Christmas time. We had an ash come flying out the other day and it didn't penetrate the rug at all. My only fear is that a larger ash could burn through easily, as it's not very thick. Does the job otherwise.

Just got my rug and it has already saved us from one burn mark on the wood floor. When a hot coal lands on it you get a little melt spot but no flames. We heat with wood so have a fire nearly everyday in the winter. The rug looks fine and is washable.When it gets too many burn spots we will replace. At this price you can afford to do that. Pretty good deal. The pattern was not my first choice and that's the reason I only gave it four stars.

We love the design, and the style. The ink is set in well. There is rubber backing. The only problem I have with it , is that the water that gets in it from our boots, does not seem to evaporate out of it well. Every couple of days I have to take the rug up and hang it so it, and the floor that was under it can dry out. a little inconvenience, but I can deal with it, because I really love the rug!

I like the calm Earth tones and the way in dresses up my fireplace hearth.
