Pals Tiktaalik Fishapod PlushF
Product ID: 91658342
Adopt a cuddly fossil friend today with Paleozoic Pals from the Paleontological Research Institution. The Paleozoic is the era before dinosaurs, during which animal life first diversified in the seas, and eventually came ashore to become land vertebrates. Great for fossil-lovers of all ages, this Tiktaalik plushie is 16 inches long. Tiktaalik is a “fishapod,” a type of ancient fish that represents the evolutionary transition from fish to four-legged animals (tetrapods). Tiktaalik lived around 375 million years ago, during the Devonian Period. It was able to use its fins to pull itself through shallow water, as well as propping itself up by doing “push-ups.” Review: Awesome - Arrived fast, in great shape, and is adorable. Gonna use it for my class on fossil vertebrates! Review: Five Stars - Very nice!

Just adorable
What's not to like? It is a plush toy that is a key transitional species between fish and amphibians. Ancestor to us all.
