If I drive my car at the speed of light and turn on these headlights, will they work?

The answer is that the light will fall behind the car. But first: You will be going at a speed of 186,000 miles per SECOND. That's about 670,000,000 mph. Assuming a vacuum. So first of all, expect a speeding ticket. It will be like going around the equator 7.5 times per second, so you may encounter problems with turns, regardless of the light quality. Don't even think of using secondary roads. Light traveling through glass travels at only 124,000 miles per second. Therefore, the light shining through the headlight assembly will be traveling at roughly a mere 420,000,000 mph. The result? the light cast by your headlights will fall behind the car at a rate of 250,000,000 mph. Which means your car will overtake your headlights quite quickly, and you'll be driving in the dark. You can expect a ticket for that too. is it worth the penalty points of your license just to arrive early?

are these dual beam (high beams and low in one bulb)?

They are indeed. I didn't find these bulbs to be any better or brighter than OEM, but they are like a standard headlight bulb, both high and low bram.

What is the lumens output of these lights?

The light output for this bulb is 1000 lumens. Thank you.

Would this fit a mitsubishi lancer 2005?

The best source for your answer is the manufacturer website. I unfortunately found out the hard way and had to return two sets of bulbs before going to the manufacturer website and finding the correct answer.http://www.sylvania.com/en-us/applications/automotive-lighting-systems/Pages/lrgmain.aspx
