It was a perfect match for my front door

My old low-cost brand lasted 18 years before the insides disintegrated from normal use. I decided to get something more solid, and paid more for a "Schlage". To my disappointment, it seems that Schlage has a lower quality "Dexter" line, which was NOT explicit in the Amazon description. The Dexter is perfectly adequate, for a low end locket, but it is NOT solid like a traditional Schlage. The latches are hollow metal, and NOT of stainless steel. I feel mislead but since I won't live in the home for another 18 years, I won't change. Next time, my advice would be to compare the WEIGHT of alternative locksets.One issue was that the deadbolt latch had a sleeve to accommodate deeper set knob holes, and that extra diameter prevent me from using in in an impact steel door without boring out the steel.

I originally had a Slage key pad lock but had problems with it, even with a fresh battery. I went back to my tried and true standard lock with dead bolt and am very happy. I find that I even prefer the round shape to the handle type. No more getting locked out of my house!

No surprise

This is an excellent lock set for the price. Very sturdy and well made. It was easy to install. I plan on buying Schlage locks from now on.

Easy to install and much better quality than Kwikset. Both handle and deadbolt have a solid feel.

This is their cheap brand which I assume isn't even made by Schlage but by some third party. Simple to install but I doubt it'll last long given the build quality it's anywhere near what Slage is (or used to be)

The reason why the price is so cheap is because you are getting Dexter by Schlage locks and not aschlage locks. Very deceiving the way the are advertised, quality is very poor
