The material and pattern are quality. The stitching is quality. The size is more than adequate. It fit my budget and exceeds my requirements. I recommend it and would purchase again.

Very well made with tons of tie-down points. Material feels adequately thick without being heavy. Questionable about being totally waterproof because none of these tarps rarely are waterproof. Will edit the review if I find it leaks. Stakes are very lightweight but seem sturdy enough but rough pounding will bend them if you're not careful. Only included 4 but there should be at least 6 included. Paracord and stuff sack are a nice added touch. Good that the tie-down points are reinforced.

QUALITY Material and made. The 13×13 is definitely the choice for having a quick survival shelter. Excellent craftsmanship, great size, compact with a bag. I'm extremely satisfied with this product.

TLDR; A good waterproof tarp option for outdoor activities, solid reinforcement on seams and attachments, too few stakes, poor stake quality, loose threads, price may be a bit high. The tarp itself appears to be of decent quality, with solid reinforcement at the seams and attachment points (+). In several water tests, the tarp appears to be water proof (+). The only issue I have with the tarp is the several long threads around the edges (photo). Easy enough to deal with, but I would expect a bit more quality control (-). The included stakes (photo) are extremely lightweight (0.425 oz / ~12g each) and do not appear to be high quality (-). Attempting to use them in U.S Western clay (Caliche) immediately begins to bend them. In addition, most scenarios will require more than 4. I switched them out for 8 titanium alloy stakes. which work well in our ground conditions. The included cordage and sack are a nice addition (+).

Love it, love it, love it! Not using for backpacking but great for motorcycle camping. Packs light and small, strong. And for the price...!! Bought the 13'x13'.

It's an excellent tarp; it withstood rain all night and into the early morning without letting a single drop of water through.

I took the photo to show the physical size difference between a low cost but adequate 10x10 tarp, that leaks through the center seam. The Free Soldier tarp (10x13) is made of a heavier but a much more durable fabric. The seams are taped and the corner and all other attachment points are solidly sewed on. The tarp comes with 4 long cords and 4 slip line gizmos to tighten up the guy lines. I am looking forward to the additional 3 feet of coverage this tarp provides over my existing tarp (10×10). I especially like the more natural brown color that is less visible in the wild. I purchased this for better coverage for hammock camping. EDIT: 5/23/2025 I set up the new tarp over the weekend. The fabric appears to be very durable and definitely waterproof with a taped center seam for waterproofing. The corner tabs seemed sufficient with plenty of tie offs for extra support. No crinkle sounds if windy. Brown color blends in with nature.

Really like this tent. I work out in the rain and snow. I used this in both to cover me and my tools this winter. I worked in Utah and Hawaii. Really waterproof and kept me and my tools dry. When it was cold, I closed the sides to make the doors and had a heater buddy to keep it nice and warm. I would buy more of these if needed for sure. Stake are small and easy to bend. I used bigger stakes and replaced the cordage with micro paracord. Works wonderful.

デイキャンプでひとまず使ってみました。 釣り輪の補強が、あまり強くない事は、レビューで知っていたので、 あまりストレスがかからないように、別ロープを張って、そこに吊り下げる形にしました。 ループはたくさんついているので、いろいろトランスフォームして遊べます。 この日も、前半は日除け的に使い、午後から雨がぱらついてきたので、普通に三角屋根にして運用しました。 生地はそこそこ厚めで、畳むと、そこそこずっしりです。 おまけの細引きとペグが4つ付いてきますが、自分で中央メインループに4ミリ細引き、端部各所に3ミリ細引きを自在金具とともに、長めに取り付けてます。 ヒモだらけになっても、袋に綺麗に収まるよう、袋がゆとりを持って作られているのであんしんです。

結構風の強い川の近くでテントを貼りました。 ポールは付属されてないので、トレッキングポールで代用しました。 付属のペグで固定し、風もある程度通るように張ってみました。 遮光性が十分とは言えませんが何もないより良い感じです。 風が通ると涼しいく、快適に過ごせました。 初の徒歩キャンで使用し、徒歩キャンには活躍しそうです

Good tarp, worked well as a shelter and a tent footprint. Took it camping and having used tarps before for both, I think it functioned well. I like the weight of it: light. The central grommets were really what I was looking for and they held well under wind and rain. Would buy it again. Only dislike is the hunting orange outline, but that's not a make or break for me. This is a good outside, camping tarp that is well made and lightweight for its large size. Edit- used this tarp for protection on a trip when isolated on an island during a lightning storm. This thing held up to the winds and rain and the reinforced grommets and loops held up. I pack this for every trip and its been great.
