It works really well. Kept the sun out! They don’t stick well but I just use a tack and that did the job.

I found easy to sew the Velcro tape, because the staples didn't hold. A budget alternative, I didn't want to spend in blinds just for summer months.It's true blackout..

Kept the room very dark and it was easy to install and use, but I installed it on a south-facing window and the velcro pads would detach from the window because of the heat. I think the adhesive would melt and that would cause the pad on the window would detach and stay attached to the velcro on the shade. Make sure you measure the window and the shade perfectly to make sure you cut it to the correct size! This would probably be better for a temporary solution or a window that doesn't get quite as much sun as mine.

Completely black out! I was able to cover three windows with the amount i got. Very durable and super easy to put up. It helps keep heat out of our living room which we needed! I have it behind my blinds so you cant even tell its there. So worth the money!

Update!!!I'm not removing my first review just updating after a few weeks of use. I'd say the material is nice and it does black out the window. It keeps some heat out of the house but the area around the window is still quite warm! Does it reflect heat I'm not really feeling as though it does. I feel like I could put an emergency blanket up there for better heat reflection than this. Not to mention they sent a stapler to staple the velcro on the corners BUT this doesn't work... it's not just the velcro that sticks to the material it's also the one that sticks to the frame of the window. The corners fall all the time.... the velcro is worthless and i am going to have to improvise with some command straps. I don't want to use the non removable white sticky dots sent because I don't want to have to go through the pain to scrape them off. I'm taking 2 stars off my original 5 star review for quality and in ability to keep heat out.All in all I kinda feel like I wasted money.Ok hear me out, I live in sothern California further east away from the beach... it gets HOT here in the summer and our AC can't hack it. I tinted my bedroom window and my sliding glass door because those don't recieve direct sun all day long. My dining room and living room windows are on the same wall where they both get blasted by the sun.I haven't seen how well it keeps the heat out just yet but I can say it's easy to install!!I may make a modification by sewing the velcro pads on to the fabric as yes they don't stick well to it when trying to remove the fabric from the window during the evening time. I may also eventually change the velcro altogether with long thin strips rather than the dots so it's a consistent strip.All in all I'm happy.

I’m not super pleased with them but that’s only because I rushed the process in cutting out the correct sizes and it’s just not that practical for my bedroom window because it’s difficult to get it completely on that there’s no light coming through any areas that aren’t flesh against the window.Overall these would be great on little windows like cars, RVs or skylights. It does block out the light if you get it right!

I bought this product to cover roof skylights in our 2 story home. They were fairly easy to put up, although the double sided tape only held on the west facing skylight for about 3 hours. I ended up using Gorilla brand double sided tape and it has worked out fine. The double sided tape worked good on east facing skylights. I will leave the covers in place until fall, remove them and install again early next summer. The temperature dropped by about 10-12 degrees as soon as I covered the skylights and I'm sure using these will make an impact on our electric bill.
