I got an engine fault. Neighbour, who’s have my old reader for over 5 years, couldn’t find it, so I got this cheap, but effective, Bluetooth reader.You have a choice of apps to use and connect it too. I chose car scanner and it works really well with this reader.Found the fault quickly, along with scanning everything else in the free version.Replacement part bought from Amazon and installed the next day.Fault fixed. Saved a ton of money.Great decide.

I wasn't expecting much for this price but this works really well. You will need to get an app to use it with but there are some good options ranging from free to a few quid, I have been using it with Torque Pro and Car Scanner ODBII on both a Volvo V60 and Nissan Qashqai, it pairs quite quickly and works well for general diagnostics and clearing error codes. Some people say these dongles take power even with the iginition off although maybe that depends on the car but I have left it plugged in for a few days and doesn't seem to have discharged the battery as far as I can tell but I guess best to unplug if you are not using it.One thing to note is that apparently this only works with Android phones, the same company does one which works with Iphones too which is a similar price and had I realised I would have got that one instead for more flexibility although there is a better choice of Apps on Android anyway.

Great little piece of kit for money. Quick to connect reads and clear codes ok and good live reading. Used app recommended

It doesn’t work, always had 1 red light on and wouldn’t connect to anything at all.

does the job, just got to play around with the apps to find one that works well. i put the codes into AI and after some back and forth it determined the fault was with the dashboard cluster and it showed me where to reflow the solder. simple job if a little finicky. save me a few hundred all in on a 2010 focus

They show an image for iOS but on the product when arrived it says specifically that doesn’t supports iOS. If you don’t have an Android phone, forget it. On Android, worked fine.

This item combines with ChatGPT has saved me so much money lol. Run the error codes in chatgpt and do diagnostic with chats assistance helps you to identify issues and evaluate if you can solve them yourself or get a mechanic

No problem with this product at all. Connects easily with the phone via the app suggested by the seller and I could easily read and clear the fault code on my Ford Focus.
