The custom fit for the Accord is the biggest reason to buy, and at currently $20 that’s pretty good, too.The material is fairly “thick” fabric and direct sunlight is well blocked from reaching the dashboard. Of course, the remaining windows—and the shield absorbing light that’s converted into heat—still keep the inside much warmer than parking in the shade. It does, however, keep it less hot and the impact on the dashboard material minimal.The Accord has a fairly large rear window, which welcomes a lot of heat into the cabin, and I try to park with the windshield facing the sun most of the time. Every little bit of relief counts in the South (NC).Even if this fabric doesn’t reflect as much sun as the thicker bubble foil, the internal temperature seems comparable. An external windshield cover or carport would be better.

These fit tall windshields, as found in the CRV. They are also rectangular in shape rather than round, ensuring more coverage at the corners. The material is thicker than my last sun shade, so it feels more durable. To fit this behind the rearview mirror, you have undo the velcro, tuck the material behind the mirror, then refasten the velcro. As a person who likes to throw the shades up and go, this is an annoying step. I could just let the shade sit in front of the mirror, but then it wants to sag there in the middle.

I have a 2017 Honda accord and the fit is perfect to the windshield size . Highly recommend.

The Fonowka Windshield Sun Shade is a well-made, form fitting sun block. I ordered it for our Honda CR-V and it fits just right, blocking almost every bit of incoming sunlight; way more efficient than the generic ones, and easier to handle.Once unfolded and installed, the sun shade is secured at the top by folding down the car’s visors, and with a Velcro strap that wraps around the stem of the rearview mirror. Moreover, there is a slit that allows the shade to wrap up and around the mirror, further increasing its fit and sun blocking efficiency.There is a technique for refolding the sun shade, and it may have to be practiced a couple of times to get it down. Basically, it is folded in half with the silver surface to the inside, then holding each end of its length in either hand, twisted in opposite directions while pushing it into concentric rings. You’ll see.When putting it to use, I found that unfolding it completely outside of the car, then slipping it over the dashboard in the correct orientation, is easiest and less awkward. Once inside the car, raise it up to the windshield, and secure it with the visors and mirror strap. It can be a little unwieldy to unfold it in the car, although that may work for you.The double-sided material does give the impression of durability, as the seller claims, and a storage bag with a Velcro closure is provided to further increase its lifespan; also, to keep it from suddenly unfolding itself at some inopportune moment.We live in the desert where it can be 120-degrees in the summer. Besides the obvious protection from the suns rays that a shade provides, it also keeps the steering wheel out of direct sun thereby from getting too hot to touch. Whether it, or anything for that matter, will serve to keep the interior temperature lower than without is yet to be seen, but not likely. The fact is that once the sun’s rays pass through the windshield and reflect off of interior objects, their frequency is changed to one that doesn’t pass back through glass. However, the benefit of keeping direct sun off of the dashboard, steering wheel and controls, protecting them from destructive UV rays and keeping them cool enough to handle is the most that can be expected, and I have no doubts that the Fonowka Sun Shade will do well at serving that purpose.

This is a perfect fit for my Honda CRV. It seems to protect and cover almost every inch and centimeter of my windshield. However, I do wish it could fill down into 1/4 or 1/5 of the windshield size. It currently only folds down to half windshield size.

I had been using a very high-dollar sunshade from a high-end automotive accessory maker on my Accord, The sunshade is rigid and accordions up to a rigid rectangular shape. I found this to be awkward to employ, remove and store when folded. I was never completely happy with it.When I saw this sunshade I decided to give it a try as it seemed to solve the storage problem. I am completely delighted with what I got.For starters, it is a very nicely designed shade. It fits my windshield tightly and leaves very little gap around the edges. It even fits tightly around the read view mirror. So tightly, in fact, that I find the velcro strap that is included to secure it around the mirror to be completely superfluous. It stays tight and is really easy to fit without using the strap at all.It also deploys and installs super easy. Because it is flexible, you can bend it and mash it any way you need to get it up onto your dashboard. It is also very light and easy to maneuver around the tight confines of a vehicle.Storing it is just a little more awkward than deploying it. I find it difficult to fold down for storage with a passenger in the car without really impinging into their "personal space". It isn't that it is hard to do, it is that twisting the shade into its storage format takes a little bit of space. This isn't a HUGE problem, however, and it doesn't detract at all from the convenience of the item. When you get it folded, it is very compact and flexible. It even stores in a nice little pouch that is provided with the item. It folds up compactly enough to easily fit under the driver seat, which is very low and doesn't have much space under it.In all, this sunshade has solved almost all of the issues I had with my high-dollar shade at a fraction of the cost.
