The Perfect EDC Knife
This is my favorite knife, hands down. Razor-sharp, perfect size and weight, opens and closes quickly and with no effort; this all-black version is pure understated elegance. It’s the perfect EDC knife. I use it for opening Amazon boxes, packaging , letters and envelopes, and other odds and ends. It’s a beautifully engineered and American-made tool. Highly recommended.

Perfect EDC
Purchased this knife and one ned foss knife recently. I wanted to keep both but after comparing the two knives, I had to return the other one as the quality of this one far exceeds the other. I bought two because this one is a little more pricey but now I can see why. The quality is definitely worth the money. The handle feels good in hand, has a nice grip. The clip is very strong. Most importantly, the magnacut steel blade is sharp and strong. Action is buttery smooth. Very nice knife, highly recommend.

Great knife.
This is my first time spending this much on a knife, and I've only had it one day so far, so you should take this with a grain of salt. But I am already in love with this knife. It's lightweight, low-profile, understated, easy to open and close, and it fits my (large but not massive) hands very nicely. Everything about it just feels right to me, and that's not even mentioning the magnacut blade, which I assume based on extensive youtube-watching will hold an edge beautifully. I can't stop fidgeting with it, which honestly might be a downside since the more I fidget with it the more I'm worried I might cut myself. So far so safe, though, even though I'm new to this kind of mechanism; it's intuitive, and as long as you're paying attention it's hard to screw it up.Edit: It's now been a bit longer, and I still really like this knife. The only downside I've noticed is that the pocket clip sits in my palm when I disengage the lock, which can get annoying eventually if I'm indulging in a ton of fidgeting, but for actually *using* the knife it's no issue at all.

Great EDC!!
The media could not be loaded. Love this knife!!Its a great little Everyday carry. Not too small, yet big enough to stand up to daunting tasks. The Magnacut steel blade is tough and has great edge retention so you aren't always running back to your sharpener. By the way the blade does sharpen easily enough and can achieve hair-whittling sharp! I love the locking mechanism which allows for quick ad easy opening & closing. It also features ceramic pivot bearings allowing for a snappy flick open, and a deep deep carry pocket clip. Everything about this knife is top notch. I have 2 of them and recommend!!

Spendy but nice
Sharp, m390, fidgety, light.I love my Spyderco manix2 (s110v) with axis lock. Love - this is my daily carry now. Just as light, smooth so it doesn't suck to get my keys, and the blade just is flippy, super fun to fidget with during zoom calls. The blade doesn't have the choil so less control, but the blade is a manageable length so it doesn't matter too much. Made in the USA, really probably my favorite knife right now (my Kershaw brawler still sees its use as my sketchy stuff knife - cutting carpet, cutting stuff that you don't want your good knife to cut, screw driver and pry ar usages)Sure it is spendy - but given the materials and US production the price is spendy, but honestly I think the end result is quality.

Perfect EDC knife ... like an improved Bugout
I have been buying and carrying knives for more than 35 years, always searching for perfect and never found it. This Kershaw is as close to perfect as I have come. I carried a Benchmade Bugout and Mini-Bugout for several years, been through Chris Reeves Serbenza's amd other custom /semi-custom folders and the Kershaw Bel Air so far is my immediate favorite. Liking a knife is subjective, so here are the details I like about it:- Action is custom knife smooth, and locks up tight with no play- Size is perfect, about the size of the Bugout- Weight is perfect, slightly heavier than the Bugout however it is still a light weight for its size and I do not notice the difference at all- Added weight and handle material balance this knife better than the Bugout, it feels higher quality and more sturdy than the Bugout- Thin and easy to carry like the Bugout, I feel no difference- I was skeptical about the blade shape however, I have actually found the shape to be very practical and usable to the point it changed my mind and I now love the shape- I'm not a blade steel snob and pay little attention to the hype, but I will say the blade grind and steel used in this knife are amazing. Retains an edge and cuts like nothing else I've used ...literally cuts everything like a hot knife through butter- Aluminum scales have a grippy texture that I like- Thumbstud is perfectly placed and offers effortless deployment - smoothest action I've personally ever used- Pocket clip is shaped very well, amd allows the knife to ride very low in your pocket, almost unseen- You can swing the blade open and drop it shut one handed.Years ago I carried a Kershaw Leek which I loved due to its thin profile and relatively light weight. The blade sliced and cut wonderfully but unfortunately the blade tip was just too thin for everyday use. After my third blade replacement I had to put it in the knife drawer and retire it. I think the Bel Air is a perfectly beefed up, tuned up, and toughened up replacement for the Leek that I wanted to workout so bad.I liked the Bugouts, don't get me wrong ...but still felt like something was missing. It seems I was missing this knife ....for me this is discrete EDC carry perfection. Beefier and tougher than a gentleman's knife, smaller than a tactical folder, thinner than a hard use folder, fits the bill for most people that carry their knives and use them frequently to cut things ...normal things not 400 yards of waxed canvas or 2" thick hemp rope (which maybe it will do but not the untended purpose for this particular tool) but it does effortlessly melt through boxes, rubber hose, vinyl hose, envelopes, Amazon packages, twine, cotton cloths, blister packaging....I don't think anyone would regret buying this knife unless they really wanted a hammer, crowbar, or jungle machete instead.

More knife for the money than Benchmade Bugout
Kershaw went above and beyond with this one. It comes in cheaper than any Benchmade, but it comes with the new hot Magnacut Steel! It's supposed to have incredible corrosion resistance and toughness, with very respectable edge retention. It's too new of a product to really know how the edge holds up long term, but it sharpened nicely.Comes with Ballbearing and is a pleasure to fidget with. The metal scales are very comfortable with A beautiful coating, as most things Kershaw are. Strong low profile pocket clip, it's everything you need from a slicing pocket EDC.
