These are great. Note: you receive 4 total parts - i.e., 2 sets of 2, for putting around 1 4x4 (the size I bought). Other pergola brackets like these have the 4x4 put inside the bracket - the bracket fully encases all 4 sides of the 4x4 wood post. These are just 1 side, and enough of a flange/overhang to screw it down. Which is a pro because you don't have to shave down the 4x4 to fit imperfect brackets. I think these are easier to work with. Nice heavy black coated metal. Wish they made a design that wasn't snow flakes, but it is nice looking. Recommended.
