Yum! I make miso, green onion, shrimp, seaweed soup and this is the first time I've used red miso. Tasty! My prior miso paste was not "red," is all I know, and don't recall if it had a partucukar qualifying name. This red paste might be stronger and of a deeper taste than the not "red." Now, I've been using ratio of 1 cup water to 1 TBLS miso ; no ratio with product is suggested. That's kind of a lot of miso paste maybe-- but that seems to be about what it takes for me. So decent enough price (everything is crazy high) and comparable to pastes' prices in grocery store-- and, worth noting, miso paste tough to find in grocery stores, at least in south Louisiana. So here's to red miso paste! I recommend.

Excellent stuff. Used it to grill some Sea Bass

Okay. I bought the product to easily make miso soup. Add a teaspoon to a cup of hot water and get soup! Great deal. However, the paste comes in a bag and states it should be refrigerated after opening. What am I supposed to do? Cut a corner off, store the product in my refrigerator, and dispense as desired? Kind of messy in my opinion. So, I bought a squeeze bottle to correct that issue. Also, it's high in salt, which is bad for my blood pressure. One tablespoon isn't too much, but I'll probably have to add some noodles or something to round out the soup, though that's kind of expected since the product is basically a broth. In conclusion: they should sell their product in a squeeze bottle.

Nice product

It tastes good. But the package is a little difficult to handle. So, it is a bit hard to squeeze miso out of the package.
