Super light weight wind screen that gets the job done
When this arrived, I thought they had forgotten to include the windscreen. It was so light that it didn’t feel like it was in the packaging. It’s the perfect height for most of my stoves. One word of advice, when it’s new in packaging, unwrap it and counter wrap it to take the memory of it. Also, consider using a paper clip to hold the ends together when cooking with smaller stoves/pans.

Its meh, but not bad. Being it with just in case
Didn't get a chance to use it, may never. I dont like how it's not actually high enough to block the wind, but its TOO tall to fit into the 750ml Toaks pot and close the lid. What i do like: Its light, cheap, and may work with some finagling.

I'm a fan of it.
First, this thing is flimsy. I fully expected it to be, as it is nothing more than a sheet of titanium. It is basically a more durable form of aluminum at this thickness, which is EXACTLY what I want for the purpose of weight savings and practicality. The edges are sharp, so be careful. To be honest I'm kinda shocked there are grown adults on here leaving bad reviews acting all suprised that thin sheets of metal are sharp...I trimmed it down in height with scissors by about a 1/4" so it could nest inside my Toaks 750ml pot (tall version) wrapped around my 450ml mug. I use a small paper clip to keep it wrapped around the stove when burning. It does the job it is intended to, which is to block the wind from an alcohol stove. One more note, this is NOT meant to be used with a cannister stove. They are only for liquid alcolhol stoves like a Trangia or dried alcohol like an Esbit cube. Do not ever wrap a heat shield around a cannister, as this will heat up the can and cause it to potentially explode. This is common knowledge in the backpacking world and I'm kinda shocked (again) to see so many people talking about using them for that.

An ultralight windscreen for alcohol stoves
It’s even smaller than the dimensions would suggest, which is a plus when it comes to packing it, but maybe not so great for its functionality. Remember that this is best used with an alcohol stove, and that it’s not made to be used with canister stoves like the BRS or MSR Pocket Rocket. Before buying it, it might be a good idea to take measurements of the stove you intend to use it with, and maybe even make a paper mockup to help visualize just how much wind protection it can provide. It is remarkably light and compact.

Not worth it_dangerous
I purchased to replace the ole tinfoil method...going back to what works...Im not sure if this is designed to fit a specific pot or not...I have a Toaks cup I use and this did not work well for that.Biggest issue for me was safety...super thin and the edges of this material will slice you open with ease if you're not paying attention...won't be in my bag next trip.I wanted to love it ...

best ultralight backpacking windscreen
i got this fairly far into my backpacking journey and ive got to say i wish i had it the whole time, it would have saved me so much time and money in so many places! first of all, its **ALMOST** indestructible. i put it around one of my mugs and that nests inside another cup and im never very nice when i do it and it gets bent and rolled and beat up but it doesnt tear and i can mostly straighten it out enough to roll it flat again. holds tight against my trangia burner and mini windblock, cuts down boiling 1L of water by whole minutes. doesnt fall over like flat panel foldable windscreens. you can trim the length but i let it wrap around more, doesnt seem to affect anything. worth its weight ten times over.

It's rolled super tight, and is the size of a cigarette
Recently got into alcohol stoves for backpacking. So naturally, with burning alcohol outdoors you Gotta have a windscreen. At first when you see it, It's rolled super tight, and is the size of a cigarette. Once you undo the rubberband, the thing lets go, and unwinds! It's not much thicker than aluminum foil, But I assure you it IS very strong. It won't tear. I like this windscreen, and it works good, But I wish I had tried the other one, from a chinese company, Comes with a Magnetic snap closure to keep the wind screen's form. Very nice.

Bom produto

User
It’s taller than expected
It’s lightweight for sure but too tall to fit a 750ml typical Toaks cup. Guess there will be some cutting to do
User
Very useful and compact
Very well made light and at the right thickness and height. Other similar products have magnets that make it a bit easier to set up but are made of much thinner material which makes them more difficult to use.A couple of paper clips will help with the setup just fine.
