The sizing is on the small side. Since I am heavy set, the main body of the glove is very snug, but the fingers are too long. I guess this was designed for a more fit individual with normal finger to hand girth ratio. But the cool thing is this product came with a plastic thingie that slips over fingers. I don't know if it even has a name, but it functions to "gather" the loose fingers towards the palm. So in use, there are no dangling steel mesh at the fingertips. As for the claim of 304 SS, it definitely does not rust. I cannot vouch for whether it is truly 304 grade. But it doesn't rust even when stored wet and that is the important thing. And the mesh is thick enough that you don't need to worry about deforming the wires or even god-forbid cutting through the wires. Good purchase.

The individual rings are small, but welded and strong. I bought the glove to grate potatoes and onions and it provides 100% protection while being easy to rinse clean. It's not possible to completely close my fist while wearing it but the fit is loose and comfortable in the range of motion I actually need. It was definitely worth the 38 bucks.

SIZE MEANS NOTHING .. I have ordered different sizes, large which was too large and medium which EVEN LARGER, now onto small. We chose a size according to the size chart but that does not seem to be true. (Photo: Red is medium, which hung very loose and even larger than large, blue)

I am a line cook, and I specialise in seafood. I cut salmon every day at work and wearing a cutting glove is necessary due to health and safety requirements under OSHA. The cloth cutting gloves provided at work are horrible, since my knives are razor sharp and they cut through the fabric, and the cloth gloves are nearly impossible to clean. The stainless steel cutting glove that I purchased here on Amazon is exactly what I need to do my job efficiently, with safety and cleanliness involved. It is an easy glove to place on my hand, and is easy to remove and clean. I recommend this glove to anyone who wishes to stay safe whilst handling a knife in the kitchen.

Made of fine stainless steel mail, every inch of this exquisitely crafted glove justifies the high price. From the hundreds of smoothly welded rings that allows the metal fabric to shift, drape and slide with fluidity to the closely-formed mesh that lends the wearer protection against kitchen blades, to the thick nylon color-coded wristband studded with a clever steel snap closure making the glove ambidextrous, every inch of this protective garment screams thoughtful quality. The only letdown is the cheap plastic harness it comes with. Mail is inelastic and won't naturally conform to the hand. An elastic harness takes up the slack in the webbing between fingers when the hand contorts so that loose fabric does not get in the way. Other much cheaper gloves come with a silicone harness while the one that comes with this glove is completely useless. I fashioned one using four rubber bands and it works perfectly. One star off for the omission of a required accessory. Had this glove been shipped with a silicone harness the return rate would have been much lower.
