I love this stuff! Very helpful for digestive issues.
I love this stuff – so far I’ve bought two of them – the second one was from Amazon in the first one. It was at a Wholistic pet store near me. Seems to be the same stuff, and I only mentioned that because sometimes people mention Amazon gets a different version of quality than what they buy somewhere else. Long story short… my dog stopped eating his dry food. Might be a teeth problem or something, but when a dog isn’t eating dry food or enough fiber/carbs I guess… they don’t poop like they should. They almost have a consistent diarrhea all the time. Not trying to be gross, but this is the facts when you have an older dog, or so I’ve heard. So this doesn’t completely fix the issue, but my dog is pooping better. He won’t eat tons of it, but I add this and a little honey and mix it together with his chicken or beef and it has a good enough taste that he will still eat it. When I bought this the first time, it came highly recommended from the shop for it’s ingredients. There are cheaper ones on the market than this one, but it works for my dog very well, so I’ll probably stick with it as long as they keep the quality.

helps tummy issues
Have given to my cat for his tummy/bowel issues for about a year. Like using this better than canned pumpkin. Has other beneficial ingredients as well. Seems to be doing for what it is intended for. Helps with constipation for my cat.

Softer and higher quantity of poops! Fiber!
The pumpkin tastes nice to the cat. I mix up the pumpkin into a thin paste and smear it on their fur for them to clean off. I am not going to syringe a bunch of paste into a cat's mouth! It's a thankless job and it's much easier to just smear it on them and let them take care of it! I think my constipated cat is starting to get softer bowel movements now. He was very constipated with dry stools. I notice there appears to be a bigger quantity of poops too. Good, get things out of my poor, backed up guy! This is a handy edition considering the fact that I can't get my cats to eat higher quality foods! So adding this fiber is useful!

Cat won't eat it
In terms of ingredients, everything here looks functionally sound - unfortunately, my cat just won't eat it, even if I give it to her in smaller quantities and REALLY mix it in with her favorite foods, it's like she knows it's there. Thankfully, whatever mild constipation she was having passed just by upping her water intake and adding some more water to her wet food. It's still nice to have the product on the back burner just in case.

Very helpful for our cat with mega-colon
We give our cat with mega-colon half a teaspoon of this mixed wirh water twice a day orally using a syringe. If it weren’t for this supplement, we would have to buy an expensive prescription cat food. And then we would have to try and keep that prescription cat food away from our other two cats who don’t need it. Occasionally, we will just mix a full teaspoon of this into the wet food for all three cats at one of their feedings however they tire of it very quickly if we try to do that every day. Again I want to emphasize how much more affordable it is to use this supplement rather than having to buy expensive high fiber prescription cat food. And the fiber in that cat food is simply psyllium fiber while the fibers in this supplement have additional health benefits. i wanted to add that if you are considering mixing this with water and giving it to your cat orally as we do that you want the mixture to come out as more of a goo or honey and not as regular liquid. Thats because the closer the mixture is to a regular liquid the easier it will be for your cat to accidentally aspirate the mixture (take it into their airway) when you shoot it into the back of their throat with your syringe. Aspiration can lead to a respiratory infection and pneumonia. We mix this half teaspoon of fiber a half teaspoon of miralax, one ml of lactulose and some powdered probiotic and know exactly how much water to put into that mixture to make it the right consistency. You will need to experiment with your mixture to get the right amount of water. I suggest using a 1ml syringe with 0.10 incremental measurements on it and finding out the right amount of water to mix with it. The cat gets that mix twice a day. We used to give less miralax and more lactulose (2-3 ml 2-3 times a day) but the high dose of lactulose was causing the cat to have hypercalcemia, which is a little known side effect of large doses of lactulose.

No more stinky turds and she likes the taste
I have a picky cat with GI issues. She has been on FortiFlora for a couple of years, but still has had issues and her turds stunk to high heaven. Vet suggested she needed more prebiotic also, and the FortiFlora-SA she recommended was even more expensive than the regular FortiFlora (over $50 for 30 days). So I decided to give the Fera brand Prebiotic and the Fera brand Pumpkin a try. I was worried that she would not like the taste of either, but she loves them both (to the point she tries to shove her head into the jars while I’m trying to spoon a little out.) This despite being a very picky eater. Her gut output seems to be more regulated and is way less stinky after just a few days! This stuff will last longer and is thus more cost effective than the Purina brand stuff. I estimate that the jar of Pumpkin (prebiotic) will last at least 3 months and the Probiotic jar will probably last at least a couple of months.

Cat does not like smell or flavor
Been hard to get my cat to eat his food when this fiber powder is on it. Maybe would work mixed into wet food for some.

Better than canned pumpkin
My dachshund loves pumpkin. But real pumpkin cans go bad before I can feed it all to her. Enter Fera Pets pumpkin powder. She licks it all up! Even gave some to my sister. For her French bulldog. Loves it.

I have two cats and they are on a purely wet food diet. It’s the best food on the market but it causes less frequency with their bowel movements (once every 2 days) and sometimes you can tell they are a bit constipated in their movements. They have both been on the pumpkin seed fibre for almost a month now and they are using the bathroom daily and no signs of constipation. How I prepare it : I have my cats on a chicken/rice/gravy wet food. I sprinkle the fibre over the wet food spread out on a plate then I add a bit of water to give the fibre some added hydration. I mix everything together so it’s less noticeable and so the fibre is more evenly spread out. Both cats eat it and neither have had an issue with the taste. No sickness from either of my cats either. Definitely a really great product and worth trying if your cat has digestion issues. Video disclaimer : I did add a little more of the fibre to the food and stirred it afterwards.

Cat hasn't had any adverse reactions. Only worth the price on sale though.

My cat is a diabetic and I decided to give this product a try as the vet suggested a Fibre supplement and high protein were key for diabetes management. I'm sure it's a great product but my cat has thrown it up every day since trying. I started with an extremely tiny amount of 1/8 tsp because new things should be introduced slowly. The vomiting continued and I can no longer risk continuing to see if he'll get used to it and the vet said to discard it. Was a bit of a shame trying to go through the return process on amazon it said the product was eligible for return which was a big reason I decided to try it at such a high price point. I got a few steps inannd no matter what option you choose the return is locked so you have to contact Fera. I did that and got an AI response telling me they needed at least 48hrs to respond. That really bugged me because of youre selling on Amazon you need to maintain their standard not your own and Amazon doesn't make people wait 48hrs "to find a solution" the solution is a refund that you should be able to easily obtain from your order screen. I wouldn't recommend this product based off that alone.
