So wow this book was action packed and oh so spicy and my goodness Gem is a bad mother ….. lol 😂 I can’t wait to see what happens next and oh I think Lory or Ezra are my favorite thou Kanes angry caveman hmmm even if thee cliffhanger was killer I’m glad where it ended I’m sad for Gem and thee meeting with her father there has to be a way and oh her gramps needs to go what a stinker

Being raised as yourself but not known to others is how "Gemma" lives everyday. This book is full of goodness, there is something about mafia type books that I always love.Gemma and her men are preparing for a war that is on the horizon. It's just a matter if everyone will get on board by the time it gets here. Oh man the scene with her father was heartbreaking and it was in code. Got all misty eyed 🥹 You can tell he really cares about her and wants her to succeed.Can't wait for book 2. Very enjoyable read

For MF's first contemporary mafia romance this was smoking hot. I've first read her series over the past few years on Chronicles of Sloane King, Chronicles of a Toy Monster and Where the Mongrals Are. She really knows how to build a world and create outstanding character interactions.This book has nothing but action, steamy single scenes and a bit of romance that is building between the characters. I honestly can't wait for the next book to come out.Main characters:*Jasper (Gemma/Ghost) - is one bad ass chick; heir to the Maldonado cartel; assassin*Lorenzo (Lory) - her right hand; fiancee and Monday's*Riley (Riot) - MC club member; 2nd lover; Tuesday's and Fridays*Kane - FBI; 3rs lover; Wednesday and Sundays*Ezra - cousin to Riot; twin to Quin; Tuesday and Saturday*Quin - Ezra's twin; Rockstar; TBDMF Adele keep doing a outstanding job. She has a bit of a bloodthirsty streak that she shares with some of the men.The men are all interesting in their own ways. Lory is the childhood betrothal/Best friend and he’s loyal to her without a fault even if he struggles with the poly aspect.Riley is her secret keeper. He is probably the one who knows her best. He seems to enjoy pushing her boundaries and keeping her on her toes. Ezra and Quin, we know less about. Ezra and her bicker and pick at each other but there is always a layer of respect and reverence when he talks to her. Quin is just a mess. And then there is Kane. She keeps him at a bit of a distance because he’s FBI and he has his own strict moral code.This was a pretty gentle cliffhanger, but I can’t wait to read the next book.

A woman who is RESPECTED by her family and the men in her life. I loved that the most with this book. Jasper was a bad@$$ lead and is what every mafia person (male or female) should aspire to be like.I loved how she had multiple men on a rotation and didn't really have exclusivity with any of them. It was a nice change of pace to have the female unattached and the men pining for more.Overall rating5 ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️3.5 🌶🌶🌶

Well now, that was something else! What an intriguing story that was and honestly I can't wait for more. This book was filled with interesting characters and whole lot of action, my favorite kind of book. Definitely worth the read!

Adele was absolutely riveting!Our heroine Jasper/Gemma grew up as the only daughter to f the Maldonado cartel and was trained at an early age to be so much more—even if it was kept a secret. Now she finds herself battling it out in the middle of a war between the cartels with her vowing to be the one true survivor/successor—as long as she plays the long run and everything goes smoothly. Now if only she can keep the men in her life and get them all on the same page—even with some of them being on different sides of the law.I absolutely adore Jasper/Gemma and all her strength, wisdom and ability to kick some serious butt all while leading her men on quite the merry chase. I freaking love stories with women leading the pack and this one is definitely that! And what can I say? Riley, Kane, Lory and Ezra are just what a KA cartel woman needs to keep her happy and fulfilled every day of the week. ;)Overall if you’re a fan of cartels, hot sexy alpha men, a fierce heroine and tons of secrets, suspense and twisted and turns then this is the one for you. Just be prepared for quite the emotional, suspense filled ride! I can’t wait for the second book and to see what’s coming their way next!

This was amazing! I didn’t know I needed a cartel why choose book in my life until I picked this one up! There is a slow build and burn to this book but you need it to fully understand the relationships and Gem’s role and wants in the cartel! Then everything just hits and you can’t get enough! I can’t wait for book 2! So well done!

This is a killer story, both figuratively and literally. 😜 Jasper is an awesome character, I love every bit of her, even her darkest, most twisted parts. And there's a lot of them! 😂I really enjoyed that she had established relationships with most of her harem going straight into the book, bought an entire new angle to RH that I hadn't read elsewhere before.The plot is a bit slow at first, as first books in series tend to be, but picks up about half way through. It's got plenty of action, violence, intrigue, backstory and steam. Great world building and well developed characters.I also really enjoyed the way that this book linked with Sacred Truths, which I read just before this and adored. It's a shared world.Can't wait to find out what happens next! 😍

Don't hesitate. Read this book! The world building is awesome. The characters are full of life. The plot is juicy and fast paced. M.F Adele never disappoints!
