Thank you Deluxe Nutrition for turning my life around with this excellent product. As a person with a particularly debilitating disability, I have suffered 9 long years of weakness and no energy. Then I discovered this product. I had bought a different brand locally, but as I needed a lot to start off with, I could not afford the crazy cost. One bag of Deluxe nutrition = 4 bottles of the stuff they sell here, and it saved me around €127!!!! I have a tip to make this product even more effective (provided you have no thyroid issues) If you take two A Vogel Kelp tables before breakfast, then one measure of D-Ribose after breakfast, It is rapidly assimilated. because Kelp (Seaweed) increases cell metabolism, thereby increasing through put of the D-Ribose. The effect was dramatic and long lasting I went from no energy even after just minor tasks to huge energy levels all day, it was as though someone turned the lights on. More energy, clearer thinking. for example, if I vacuumed one room in the house I would have had to sit for an hour before proceeding. After one week of this D-Ribose / Kelp combination. in one day, I went out and cut the weeds back on 1 acre of land using a petrol strimmer, came back inside had a cup of tea, then went out and painted the shed, then stripped and painted all 12 window sills, then painted the outside of the house, and by 5pm although tired, I still had energy. remarkably though having continued this routine (kelp then D-Ribose) for just 4 weeks, I now find I only need the Ribose maybe twice a week and still feel well. Deluxe Nutrition D-Ribose is a high quality product, and made even easier to use as it includes a measure scoop. I will shortly be purchasing another bag. People who have witnessed the changes in me are all writing down the name of it and intend ordering. INCREDIBLE IMPROVEMENTS IN MY CHRONIC FATIGUE AND FIBROMYALGIA I'm writing this review in the sincere hope that it encourages other people afflicted by CFS or FMS to give the D-Ribose a try. I have had a really remarkable improvement in my levels of fatigue, particularly heart muscle fatigue (that aching pain in the chest you get when you're so insanely exhausted you can hardly breathe…) I would say I am 80-90% improved when I take the ribose religiously everyday, so much so that I have begun GOING TO THE GYM which I actually never thought I would do again. My fitness has rocketed (relative to my previous state before taking the ribose which was crawling up the stairs on all fours, lying in bed and on the sofa all day and often too breathless to talk, I KNOW SEVERE CFS!!!) My family and friends are amazed and I'm recommending it to anyone who will listen. I've also borne witness to the backwards effect of neglecting to take it for a few days, I quickly lost energy after 2 days, which is why it is imperative that you take it regularly. The dose I take is 4 scoops (20g) in a protein shake smoothie every morning. I then take maybe 10g later in the day in some juice if I feel I've done a lot and need a top up. This is more than the recommended dose but personally it works for me and it gives me a massive boost. I also really recommend taking protein powder for CFS symptoms, there is lots of research (look up Dr Myhill) that the treatment protocol for CFS is similar for elite athletes and bodybuilders, ironic I know. The protein also slows down the absorption of the ribose for a longer release and really helps your muscles recover. A good recipe that sorts me out for the whole day is 4x scoop ribose, 2x scoop l-glutamine, 1 scoop protein powder, handful of frozen fruit, milled flaxseeds or chia seeds, low fat yoghurt and water or milk to top up. Delicious and nutritious! Try it, you'll probably be amazed. Good luck to all CFSers!

If you have chronic fatigue . Post vital or Danlers erdlos . Just try it . I was exhausted & now I'm dancing - every weekend. Of course there are muti faceted approaches & this is one element - but boy o boy - it's was an incredibly important one for me . HUGE HUGE life quality improvement . Of course it's available so reasonably because of the sports use market . This is basically the insanely more affordable & SAME quality product as the tiny over priced capsules . Don't bother - you'll need to re -mortgage to get well on those - this is the best option & the same inner product . You may also find yourself ready for the sporty life it's made to support ! Good luck . There IS hope .

I bought this out of sheer desperation. I have just been diagnosed with Chronic Fatigue Symptom and the NHS have been nigh on useless in helping me manage the situation. I am a true sceptic about food supplements but the pain and fatigue was becoming too much for me to bear and I was living in fear of losing my job. Within one day I felt my mojo coming back. I naively saw it as a sign I was better and started trying to do all the things i used to before I got ill and had a bit of a crash (nowhere near as bad as my old crashes pre-D-Ribose though), now I use this in association with pacing to manage my symptoms. I'd say the brain fog has lifted about 70%, fatigue 60% and pain 70% - adding magnesium to this seems to take the pain away about 80%!! The recommended dose is 3 scoops spread over a day for CFS but build up slowly as it can make you feel a bit hyper at first plus the first night I took it I woke up with the sweats so I now take my last dose at 6pm. I personally take 4 scoops as I have figured out my tolerance levels, as it is pretty pricey I hope to scale this down in a months time to 2-3 scoops. The only reason I've not given this 5 stars is because there was a hole in my packet when I unwrapped it. Amazon were fabulous and refunded me though. It comes with a scoop and is very easy to administer. I have ordered my next pack as I can't be without it.

I have CFS and this product gives me more energy and makes my life easier and more pleasurable. Update December 2014 - I swapped to another cheaper brand thinking "its all the same". I soon started to fledge, couldnt walk at will again etc. Within 3 weeks Id repurchased Deluxe Nutrition and was back on track a few days later. I think its because Deluxe Nutrition is pharmaceutical grade which makes it purer. Whatever way, its better for me than other brands offering a similar product. Update Dec 2017 Still going strong using this. I forgot to reorder earlier this year so was waiting for a delivery that was never coming which resulted in a loss of energy. A few days after I'd starts taking it again I was back up and running. I use it as a part of Dr Myhills protocol for ME/CFS and it's still the miracle it ever was.

After finally being diagnoses with CFS I read about this powder with hope but also a little skepticism. I've been taking one scoop 3 times a day in whatever drink I have and I can honestly say it's made a difference. Now don't get me wrong, I'm not about to start ballroom dancing or running marathons, but I'm at least able to not give in to sleep every afternoon. That for me is worth any cost as it allows me to not schedule everything for the morning. Consistency is the key. There have been a couple of days when I didn't have any powder at all and I definitely noticed a difference. If you have CFS I recommend at least giving this a try.

I bought this because of the many positive reviews which claim that this product helps with CFS/ME. Unlike those reviewers, I was utterly disappointed with this product as it did nothing for my chronic fatigue. The claims of the distributor that this is the purest D-ribose on the market should raise a red flag with all prospective buyers. I've checked the website of 'Deluxe Nutrition' and couldn't find any shred of evidence to substantiate those claims.Most likely this product is outsourced from China or some Easter-European country and packaged in the UK. The original pharmaceutical-grade D-ribose that was used in studies on CFS is this: Douglas Laboratories Corvalen Supplement 280 g . You can appreciate for yourself the difference in price.... If you suffer with CFS/ME you should know that just by ingesting D-ribose there is no guarantee that your cells will get the required amount of that substance. D-ribose is produced inside the cells by mitochondria, which are likely to be damaged in people suffering with the above conditions. In order for external D-ribose to get inside the cells it has to be absorbed through the cells walls, which is a very different matter. So the claims of many distributors of D-ribose that their products help replenish the cells ATP stores are completely bunk.
