Fine for general everyday use, but not for 100% total protection.
This case is fine, but think about your own usage. If you are prone to dropping or having a phone slide out of a pocket, then the surround isn't deep enough to save it from landing face down on an object or uneven surface. It's perfect for keeping wear and tear off the S7 Edge in pockets, and setting down or sliding along indoor surfaces, or even upside down if they are flat and the phone is placed down. It's just a trade off for keeping the case as low profile as possible to try and retain the phone's aesthetics. The materials are fine, but nothing flashy, as are the looks of the product. In hindsight, I'd probably rather have put the money into a nice leather flip case for screen protection, and to still show off the look of the phone.

Very nice quality case as usual from Spigen
Very nice quality case as usual from Spigen. I have bought several Spigen cases in the past for different phones and this one has been just as good as all the rest. The plastic gunmetal edge to it looks really nice and the textured rubber back makes it easy to hold and less likely to slip out of your hand. The case also has a raised rubber lip on the front so if you lay your phone face down it won't get scratched at all.I can't comment on how much they protect the case if you drop them as I have never dropped any of my phones so far but they have all protected my phones from general wear and tear perfectly. The only reason I haven't given this one five stars is because the edges around the charging and headphone ports are slightly too pointed at their peak so the phone is not too comfortable to hold the way I do with my little finger supporting the phone at the bottom. It tends to leave a bit of an indentation on my finger and can get a little uncomfortable if I hold it for a while that way. This doesn't bother me too much though and hasn't spoiled the case for me. I would definitely recommend it to other S7 Edge owners.

A stylish and relatively lightweight case, if a little on the expensive side
Key Points:- Stylish- Lightweight- Trading off strength for style- Back and sides still feel pretty solid- Still going strong after a yearOverview:I'm very happy with this case. I initially put off buying a case for my S7 Edge simply because I didn't want to tarnish the good looks of the phone with something bulkier. That was, until I dropped it and cracked the lower portion of the screen. Honestly if you're looking to maintain the phone's aesthetic appeal while making it a little safer then you can do a lot worse than this case.Build quality:It's hard to deny that you're trading functionality for style with this product, but that's not to say that it's useless. The main body of the case is made up of a tough, flexible plastic which I imagine is pretty good at absorbing the shock of an impact. There is a more brittle plastic edging which then goes around the main body. I've seen some reviews saying that this has broken easily, and I can understand why that may be the case. As a cohesive unit this case is clearly quite tough, but the edge plastic is thin and flexible on its own. Removing the case can be a nerve-wracking experience since, once it's on, the edge isn't massively easy to get off. With a little care and a little daring though, you should have no problems.Weight/Size:When I took the case off to take pictures for this review it surprised me how thin the Galaxy S7 Edge really is! This is by no means a bulky case but compared to the slim dimensions of the phone it does add a fair bit of width to it. This isn't necessarily a downside; honestly the phone feels very fragile and difficult to hold without it, and I was glad to get it back in its case. The phone also as a result feels a little heavier, but again this just makes it seem a little more resilient.Longevity:I've had this case for around a year now and can't see any major problems. There are obviously a few scuffs and marks but what else would you expect from a phone case! So long as you're not throwing your phone about the place, I would expect this case to last a few years easily.Design:I think this case is actually very attractive, and adds a certain character to the phone. Like I said, the phone on its own is beautiful, and I think this case utilises this more than it detracts from it. As expected though, less is not usually more in the world of protective casing. The depth on the bottom and top of the casing is enough to protect the phone from small drops, but if the screen hits something that's any taller than these bumpers then there's little the case can do.Price:Admittedly this is quite expensive for what you get, which is really just 2 pieces of plastic. However, you're also paying for a nice design and peace of mind, and as I mentioned before this could last a good few years if looked after properly, which seems like a decent investment to me.

Long term use
A very stylish case that I've now owned for 14 months. Disappointingly the band around the case split last week so that it no longer fixes around the phone. I'm a light phone user and I guess that level of light usage over 14 months, slipping it in and out of my pocket, was too much for the material the band is made of. I would have expected far better. The rest of the case is fine but, aesthetically, its no use without the broken band. Having said that I have now ordered the exact same case as a replacement as I like the style. There are lots of great reviews for the case on here but they are generally written after a short period of usage. I hope this longer term review is useful.

Very good protection
After accidentally swinging my arm back and throwing my phone down a long flight of stairs onto a wooden floor, and seeing nothing but a minor scratch on my case afterwards, I've decided to leave a review.I've had the case for 7 months now and I have very little to complain about. Protection wise it is brilliant, as shown in the example above. Style wise it looks really sleek and it hardly adds bulk to the phone, which is why I chose it.The only negative would be that the case is a little slippy, I did expect it to have a little more grip.Note: I did equip it with a fairly cheap screen protector (just to stop scratches) and the lip of the case has cause the screen protector to bubble at the edges a little, however it's not really been inconvenient at all (yet).
