As far as I can tell this is identical to the pump being sold by the OEM. My guess is this is the OEM supplier, selling the same part under a different name. The casings, labels, everything appears to be the same. Purchase in confidence.

Great product. Work as listed direct replacement for my 99 hot springs sovereign hot tub. Got the hot tub for free and this was the first major thing to go after fixing the leaks had to replace the clear tubing since it was as stiff as the pvc so no problem hooking this up broke a couple barbed fittings on the hot tub side after trying to twist the tube in now all of its new!

There was no ground lug....

This pump is small, quiet, and although I can't speak yet to longevity - thus far it is doing a fine job. However as far as being a direct replacement for a Watkins SilentFlo 5000 in a Hot Springs spa; the spacing between the inlet and outlet connections is slightly less. In my application it means that it was either barely holding on to both 3/4" slip-on hose connections, or one of them needed to be replaced with a slightly longer hose (approx. 1/2").

This was installed in my spa to replace the factory original . It looked to be a pretty good match . It worked great for 4 months . I paid the spa company to remove it and see what went wrong ... the motor had burned out . Nothing stuck in the impeller and it was wired correctly ... the motor just burned out . The spa company said it was an inferior knock off pump motor that did not have thermal protection preventing overheating . DO NOT BUY !

Fit my 99 Hotspring Classic.

This thing is smaller (but a fraction taller) and MUCH lighter than the 15 year old SilentFlo 5000 it replaced. That could be irrelevant (after all, Dr. Dre puts steel ballast in his beats with the commodity drivers to give the illusion of higher quality), but I also decided to use my existing wire and connect that to the pump...and while doing that, ALL THREE plastic push-tabs broke off (the table -you push back to release the wire clamp). Luckily with a lot of time and patience I was able to get the wires to clamp in by using a tiny screwdriver to push the tabs back. I can see one breaking, but all three? WIth simple finger pressure? That to me seems like a harbinger of a product that cuts corners. It seems to be running fine right now, but we'll see how long it lasts. I have ordered the OEM version to keep around as a spare. If the circulator pump fails in the dead of winter, and you don't notice for a couple days, I would assume it's bye-bye hot tub as everything freezes and cracks apart. So I'll keep the OEM as a spare and now make a point of checking the tub daily in sub-freezing temperatures. Or maybe invest in a wireless temperature monitor. But for now we'll just see how long this thing lasts.
