Excellent product! Renews the natural wood beautifully and to a slightly darker shade.

Great wax for chalk paint. Easy to work with.

I tried using the wax twice now… Both times it made the pieces I painted look streaky. I applied it once with a brush and once with a lint-free cloth. One tip given is to soften the wax in the microwave, so going to try that next time. I haven’t completely given up on the wax yet… but it’s definitely not as easy to work with as their chalk paint.

Excellent wax. I tried first applying it with a lint free cloth, but went out and bought a round wax application brush. Application was much easier with the brush. I used the same Canadian brand chalk paint, ‘Cobblestone’ colour, on the old scraped up and dark brown, kitchen island chairs. I allowed the paint to dry for 24 hours, then applied two coats of wax.

I have used a handful of clear waxes over the past 10 years and this single one is my new favourite wax. Almost zero odour (which can linger for days after usage) so no headaches. Not too soft that the matching waxing brush causes massive waste. A quick swirl in the tin for an even coat on the bristles and apply, then buff a few minutes later. Naturally the wax will deepen some shades of chalk paint a ½ shade or so be aware. But it also evens out irregular fine textures bit so fine brush strokes melt away on application leaving a smoother more polished finish.
