Surprisingly fine piece of furnitureat such a low price
I got this because I have an adjustable bed that's too tall for me to get in to without a little step up. The faux leather is more like real leather, I doubt people could tell the difference. The padded top makes it comfortable as well as elegant. Unfortunately for me I fell on it which broke the piece of wood that two legs screw in to. It didn't completely give way rather I pulled them back to 90 degree but the wood those legs are screwed in to is no longer solid so the legs angle in slightly. It still holds my weight to get in to bed and feels sturdy, but I know it's only a matter of time before that side colapsesand the wood inside breaks completely. I really shouldn't be using it but I'm only 4'11" so I need it to crawl into my bed. I highly recommend this product and the break that happened to me was a unique situation which I doubt will ever happen again to anyone!

Fine, but not as functional as I thought
This seems to be a fine product. I bought it for my desk at my office. It looks nice, and when I am on the computer at home, I often have my feet up (on something bigger). The thing is, as small as this is, and how low it is. I just don't think it feels particularly helpful to prop my foot up with it. I thought I would use it more, but I usually just leave my feet on the ground rather than use it. I don't know if that is a me thing, or what. I kind of think it is just too small and low to really feel like it is helpful.

Perfect Footstool for Leather Pedestal Chair
In my living room, I have a leather office manager's chair that I'm using as a pedestal chair (with the rolling casters removed). It needed a good-looking "matching" footstool, but ottomans for leather living-room chairs are surprisingly hard to find. This little faux leather ottoman is exactly what I needed. It is the perfect height (9-1/2") for a footrest, and it's comfortable because it's padded. It's also small enough (12" x 15-1/2") to push back partly under the chair and out of the way. This little ottoman is a footrest, not a stepstool. The construction isn't flimsy, and it might support my weight (about 125 lbs.), but I didn't want to push my luck. The legs are black plastic cylinders that screw onto the frame of the padded part, so it's only as strong as those screws when you climb on it.As a footrest, this product is NOT suitable for use under an office desk. It's too big and tall, and it isn't adjustable. An under-desk footrest that works reasonably well for me is the Fellowes Standard Foot Rest , but whether any particular under-desk footrest will be comfortable depends on the individual person's height and the workstation setup.

Very nice!
I use it as a footrest under my work desk. It's the perfect size, it's nice and sturdy, it was easy to assemble, and I can put another softer footrest on top of it if I want my feet elevated higher.

My feet & I love it. :-)
This is much too low to the ground to work as an ottoman while you're sitting on a couch, but that's not what I bought it for. I wanted something to elevate my feet under my desk at work and this is the perfect footrest for that. I had a higher one under my desk previously and it was actually uncomfortable to lift my feet that high while sitting at my desk. This one is perfect. In addition to being the right height, it's padded very well and it looks very nice. It's true that the legs are plastic, but they're so low to the ground, no one notices. Because of the plastic legs, this footrest is very light & would probably slip on hardwood or tiled surfaces. My office is carpeted, so it hasn't been an issue. And I'm sure that problem could be fixed either by sticking treads to the bottom of the legs or adding weight to the legs somehow. The legs unscrew, so you could probably even replace them with wooden ones if you wanted to. Anyway, this footrest has been perfect for me. My feet & I love it. :-)

Sturdy and durable.
I bought one of these many years ago and I have used it everyday. It has not diminished in the least bit. Quality finally! That's a rare thing nowadays. The one on the right is the old one. Keep up the quality and good workmanship! Regards YLY

Simple footstool
I like the foot stool I ordered through Amazon. It is exactly the size, look, material I was expecting. It wasn't very expensive, so I'd say I got what I paid for. The only complaint is the fabric on the bottom was stapled on, and in a couple places the fabric came out of the staples so it left a gap. I didn't want it loose or to tear getting caught on something, so I glued the fabric to the frame. You can't see the glue and the stool works well. Very light weight and just the right height for my 95 year old mother to lift her legs over and rest her feet on.
