As long as you have a usb-c adapter then yes it will work in your car

What kind of square footage does it cover?

Please note this is a fan more than an air conditioner. There is a cooling filter that you wet and freeze prior to turning on in a room. We had it in a room that is 13x12.

Ok so is it actually cold, has anyone out a thermometer on it?

It's NEVER COLD, better off buying a fan. A pain in the neck and a waste of time when it comes to cooling off.. Should cost $5 at most. Don't waste your money. Plus water condenses on the surface of whatever it sits upon. Dud, dud,. dud.

The video i watched mentioned “freezing the filter & “adding ice cubes to the water.” is this correct? the description says “plug in.” correct? thx

You don't have to freeze the filter, you don't have to add ice cubes, BUT YOU DO NEED WATER! Doing the other two helps the air get cooler, but you don't need to if you don't have those those things, you will just have a room temperature mist. If you want cooling mist then you will need ice.
