Used cocoon style sleeping bags previous years, and opted to invest in nice sleeping bags this time around. Decided on getting two of the 4lb because the night temps were looking into the 40's range and I rather be safe then sorry. I'm usually a very cold person so I used this sleeping bag and also layered another thin blanket on top just as an extra layer. I slept through the entire night feeling toasty and warm. Really liked the two different fabrics, the outer layer being easy to clean or wipe down any messes, but the inside being a very comfy and soft flannel type of fabric. Near the top opening is a string you can tighten to slightly close up the top so it hugs your shoulders, I felt like that made a difference in keeping the warm air in. The zippers glided smoothly with no issues. I was short enough so I was able to kind of fit my head into the sleeping bag and I think the warm air I was breathing out helped keep me warm throughout the night (I'm aware this isn't the typical way for someone to use the sleeping bags haha) I also thought I saw images and reviews stating you could combine the two, which was my initial intent as I had got this for my partner and I to share to make one large sleeping bag but we could not figure out how to connect them together; which now i'm not so sure if you actually can. If you take you're time and fold correctly you could get the sleeping bags back into the bags but I just rolled them up and tied it loosely to avoid all the hassle of spending 15 minutes squishing it all back in. Overall happy with this purchase, as it will be of good use for at least the next 3-5 yearsP.S. I did notice they had a newer/better model (handles down to 30 degrees) out for the same price that I bought these two at, so I would suggest looking at all your options and see which one has the best price at the time of purchase.

i really like it a lot. it's very soft and warm, super warm. it is warmer than my warmest quilt (i bought the 4 lbs. of filling). i am using it indoors, because i prefer not to have the heat up blasting in my place; this is nice to have for extra warmth and it's like a great super warm quilt (unzipped). it's easy to zip and unzip; the zippers have easily marked (in red) end tabs, and there is velcro to hold the edges together also. there are strings to gather it together, already sewn in. sometimes i gather it up loosely and tie the two sewn on ties, just to get it into a smaller shape; it very, very quickly is organized for immediate storage. no cords to lose! no need to get it into the compact shape for longer term storage in the included storage bag, unless that is desired. i love the plaid, it's two beautiful blue colors, with a little thin line of yellow in the plaid. the cotton flannel inside is super soft, very good for people who can't have anything irritating against their skin. it is very well made; it's a keeper. now that i have it, can't imagine not having it-very happy i purchased this. could even use it for a sleeping bag! the package wrapping is great, and it comes with a bag with straps, for storage. they even send along a little metal thing ("multipurpose survival tool") that is a blade, a bottle opener, a ruler, screwdriver, 2 position wrench, etc., made of stainless steel, all in a small card size envelope. nice little extra gift! this sleeping bag is very highly recommended.

I recently picked up the REDCAMP Cotton Flannel Sleeping Bag for our RV adventures, and while it has its perks, it didn’t quite meet my expectations.First off, the quality isn't horrible. If the temperature dips, you might find yourself reaching for extra layers, which defeats the purpose of a sleeping bag.Overall, it’s perfect for snuggling up in the RV, but if you’re planning to brave the elements, you might want to look for something a little more robust.
