Netgear WN3000RP Universal WiFi Range Extender Extend Wireless Network Coverage

The WN3000RPV3 was the best single-band Extender. The single-band (2.5 gigahertz) wifi had up to 25 MBit/Sec throughput, for 150 feet or more. More modern extenders are designed for the more modern dual-band base stations (2.5 Gig and 5 Gig), and will not work properly with older single-band basestations. This Netgear 750, for instance, is "dual band", and won't work well with older single-band basestations.So if you're extending an older "single-band" basestation, this one will work (though pricey). And it can be hard to find, as searching for "Netgear N300" will get you all kinds of other Netgear extenders. Just be warned. And if you DO have a "dual-band" basestation, a more modern Netgear extender than this one is probably what you want.

Couldn't get the booster you connect to my wifi. Did the messaging thing and got told to wait for a call. They call me and tell me my network is unsecure even though I live in the country and use only my phone on the wifi but they were willing to sell my security from "the cloud" as he called it. A soon as I said I wasn't interested he instantly hung up on me.

I have wasted hours upon hours trying to get this extender to work with my router ... all to no avail. It is useless to me. I've searched the internet for help but nothing could get this to work. Save your money and buy something else.
