Disappointed. Many dollars down the drain :(
Purchased late May 2024 arrived alive and healthy. It was delivered 1st week of June. It is currently June 17th and plant is about dead. Followed directions and ordered Distilled water and used only this water for the plant ( also purchased on Amazon ) . From what I had seen on the plant, it did catch one fly, and that was it. It us currently dying. So much for directions. The VFT's that we had in the past, never mentioned distilled water, and the plant survived 1/2 way through Winter.. then Kaput, and this was purchased at Lowes, with minimal directions.Update ::: I contacted the Seller directly. They graciously replaced the plant expeditiously without incurring further expense. A bit pricey at first, but their customer service and satisfaction was well worth the price.. Im going to increase my stars to 5. They went above and beyond to make the situation correct. Kudos. Will buy another if and when the time calls for it. Great educational tool.

I was not happy 😠
So I bought this Venus fly trap for my 7 yr old son who became intrigued with this plant, however when it came it had a lot of dead/dry leaves. Most of them were also closed and still hasn't opened. Now I had this for about 3 weeks now and this is wat it looks like. I've been trying my best to care for it but it's like " is there even a point". Now I went to BJ's and found them there as well about a week ago ( they were healthier, more pleasing to the eye, half the price $10.99, and most importantly they were open, sone were closed but they did open to where my son was able to feed the fly trap and enjoy watching it )So before you purchase from here, I'll suggest that you check your nearest BJ's 😉

Best purchase, very recommended, would easily buy again
Best purchase in my entire life, plant was perfect and beautiful there were many traps but room to water without touching the leaves (you shouldn’t water the leaves) also tried the tray method, works very well, the size of the plant was giant it is very healthy and came well packaged I recommend this to anyone, best brand for Venus fly traps, in very good shape (see picture below)

Not a good value
Plant is way smaller than 3 inches. I don’t fell that it is a good value. It doesn’t look like picture in ad. There are better ones out there for that price. I’m

Healthy traps
They arrived fairly healthy very few traps dead. They did outgrow the pot they came in so a little damage was their but they were able to bounce back with new space

Extremely disappointed
Really disappointed in the condition that this venus flytrap was in when she got here. Several of her petals are just black and burnt looking. She was sent in a little cup that is clearly too small she most likely has root rot and should have been transplanted to a bigger home by now. Waited awhile to see if she would open up at all but the black parts are just spreading no matter what I do to help her. She was just too far gone on arrival. It was like she was put in the cup when she was a baby and they just don't care to change it when they get too big.So most likely root rot and being sent here, in what appears to have been, and actual preheated oven. Very sad. Looks like she was just ready to thrive.Only thing left to try is transplanting her to somewhere bigger, but at this point the shock it will cause her will probably kill her.Find a different seller.
