This faucet is so nice—stylish and functional.

It's about three weeks post-installation. I love how this looks -- installed in my 46-year old double SS sink, which now looks like new to me, a relatively inexpensive update visually and functionally.I like how I can press the spray for a quickie, or lock it down for continuous spray. Love the liquid pump dispenser -- can finally get the dish detergent bottle out of sight. No drips from the pump, easy top filling.The only issue I have so far is that the base plate is plastic. Other Moen models have a two-piece metal/hard rubber plate. I don't know why they cheaped-out on that. I hope it holds up over time. I had the unit installed by my plumber and we discussed the base plate issue -- I'm easy on my gadgets, so he felt I'd be ok with the plastic base. But, if you've got children or other users who will be rough on it, it might not be the best choice.I notice the price is now much higher ($159) than what I paid in January ($118).

There are several instructional videos for this faucet, all over the web. Each one leaves something different out. Watch a lot of them! There are no instructions in the box, and the videos on the Moen site are generic: “attach the hoses”, the end?! The installation for me was tricky because of bad spacing under my sink. You will probably find the removal of your old faucet to be the hardest part. I got it in, no leaks, it looks great and works fine. The soap dispenser head is longer than the old one, an improvement for me. The price seemed reasonable.

This faucet is an understated, yet beautiful and functional addition to my kitchen. I didn't want a public fountain type of faucet that would require me to build a new kitchen around it. I wanted something less grand but functional and this fits that bill perfectly. The only drawback is that the sprayer function is not as forceful as I would like. And if there is a water restrictor, I cannot find it. However, if there is one, the water tube appears to be connected to the faucet with a fitting that is so tiny I am surprised that any water is able to pass through with any kind of velocity. But it does well enough, so I am satisfied.

As advertised. It’s replacing something similar from a different brand that failed and couldn’t be replaced because they don’t make this style anymore.I love it so far but I’m only a few months into it. I hope it withstands the test of time.I like the beefy feel of the handle over the last similar one I had, and the hose is longer so I can reach the edges of my sink now.
