I bought this WS2812B LED strip for a DIY project to build a Ghost from the video game Destiny, and it worked perfectly! The individually addressable LEDs allowed me to create smooth lighting effects, making my Ghost look just like the ones in the game. The colors are bright and vivid, and the transitions between animations are seamless. Pros: Bright & Vibrant Colors – The RGB LEDs really bring the project to life. Individually Addressable LEDs – Allowed me to create cool effects, like pulsing and color shifts. Great Compatibility – Worked flawlessly with the ESP8266 D1 mini controller and the WLED software from the website and app store. Cons: Adhesive Could Be Better – I will need to reinforce the strip with glue. Tips: Make sure to use a 5V power supply, as this strip doesn’t run on 12V. Overall, this LED strip was perfect for my Destiny Ghost build, and I’d highly recommend it for any DIY lighting project. I’ll definitely be using this brand again for future props!

I have been using BFT lighting WS2812 leds for projects for over a year. They have a great reputation and they do make a quality product. But the Loamlin strip was about half the price so I decided to give them a shot and I am so glad I did. Every pixel was bright and responsive when I plugged in the roll. I cut and re-soldered pieces together for a custom fit on the back of my tv and they have been working flawlessly for about a month now. I have nothing bad to say about BFT lighting, but for half the price, I can't recommend them anymore when these strips are of comparable quality and are more affordable.

Easy to cut and worked as advertised

The strip functioned properly but the build quality is cheap. Decent, cost-effective ws2812b strip.

I've been using these for a while in various applications, I haven't had any problem cutting or soldering at the various points along. The strand and colors have been vibrant and bright. I have yet to find a dud.

This was my first string using an ESP32 and WLED. The plan was to embed them in the trim going around the 4 player arcade Im building. I had an issue at first finding the data pin on the 32. The string might have sat connected to power for about half an hour before I figured it out. Then they were beautiful, for about 5 minutes. When I brought them to the cabinet to see how they look the leds wouldn't light again. I've tried everything even inserting the data down the string farther in case there was a problem with some of the leds. I notified the seller in feedback of my issue, but I haven't gotten a response. I ordered another set that was ip67 and they work with my controllers so there's definitely something wrong with this strip internally. Hopefully the second will last longer. As far as the ip67, im really dissatisfied with the clear casing they put on it. It's just the bare strip loose in a silicone type tube with the ends glued shut. All it'd need is a pin hole and the thing would fill up with moisture. I think i will find a different seller.

The lights are pretty bright! Though I did have a few dead LEDs. I'm still giving 5 stars because I had a static charge when first handling the LEDs before testing them and I shocked them with my static... It was very audible.. so it could have been my fault. But for the ones that worked, they worked really well!! As show in my pic. I also integrated WLED on an esp32 successfully.

Diese LED-Streifen sind klasse. Ich hatte zuerst bedenken diese zu kürzen und neu zu verlöten. Das ist aber gar kein Problem. Ich habe mit einem handelsüblichen low Budget Lötkolben erfolgreich Kabel angelötet und viele Kürzungen vorgenommen. Ansteuerung erfolgte über ESP32 um eine Wortuhr zu bauen.

Habe die Kette für meinen 3d Drucker zur Beleuchtung benutzt, damit man auf der Kamera was sieht wenn das Zimmer Licht aus ist. Leuchten sehr gut, das einzige was blöd war, das die Richtung der LEDs bzw. der Aufkleber auf dem Band falsch herum war und ich so gleich die erste Hälfte geschrottet habe. Aber das war okay da ich nur die halbe Kette brauchte. Ansonsten top.

Tolle Farben und Leuchtkraft, sie kleben einwandfrei und funktionieren super mit meinem ESP32 mit WLED. Habe mit diesen LEDs mein eigenes Ambilight gebaut. Jede LED lässt sich einzeln ansteuern. Versorge sie über eine 5V 15A Netzteil. Würde ich immer wieder kaufen.
