This is the correct DRIVE belt for a Cub Cadet LT 1050. There are 2 belts on the LT 1050. A DRIVE belt and a DECK belt. This belt is listed as a Drive belt, not a Deck belt. The reviewers who are claiming they received a belt that was too short, they ordered the wrong belt.If the deck belt needs replacing, I suspect the drive belt needs replacing also since it runs continually and the deck belt only when the mower is engaged. Mine was in much worse condition than the deck belt.I deduct a star because this is not a kevlar belt. It is difficult to change. It requires an impact wrench to remove the PTO unit. The drive pulley needs to be dropped to get the belt off. I suspect, as was mine, it is sized on the shaft. There is no easy way to break it loose without damaging the pulley. Some YouTube videos recommend bending the tabs that keep the belt from coming off the pulley then bending them back once the new belt is installed. You might get away with this once but I suspect they will break off in any future replacement.

The belt I needed was "No Longer Available". The drive belt for my hydrostatic drive ride on mower. Long story short I threw a Hail Mary Pass and scored a touchdown. To top it off it went on MUCH easier than the youtube videos displayed. I dropped it over the fan of my Troy-bilt Ranger and pushed it up through the belly pan. I took the bolt out of the belt guard at the front pully and dropped the bolt out of the bottom of the front engine pulley - just enough to get it on the upper end of the pulley. Pushed the pulley back up and reinstalled the bolt. Reinstalled the belt guard. Moved the spring loaded pulley, between the front and back, to properly the belt there. Unbelievable, drove out like a champ. I did need a pipe wrench to hold the front pulley still while I removed the bolt. I did notice a keyway and another part sitting on top of the pulley. (So, if you drop the pulley too low make sure you see how thw top part goes back on and remember the keyway or you'll be fighting to get it back on.) Accurate description of the part and what it replaces. Delightfully surprised overall.

Be cautious when ordering. If your looking for the deck belt for a Cub Cadet LT1042, this is not the correct item. The Deck Belt you need is 1/2" x 96.5" long, and this is only 78". I'm not sure what it means by drive belt. I struggled to get it on, and then realized it was way too short, and I will attempt to return

Not much to say. This is the correct belt. Mower deck must be removed to allow easy access to PTO and crank pulley. Make note of PTO position and unplug electrical connector, use of an impact wrench to remove 4in long bolt made the job easy. Did maintenance to deck while off and anything else that was exposed. Took about 2hrs. All in all not too hard a job.

So I have had abt a dozen belts and used them om my Cub Cadet SLT1550. Some go bad real fast. Twist or get chunked out (poor rubber ) the kevlar ones are worse than the non kevlar, wear out faster (go figure). Gott be a good belt that is long lasting more than 2 years

I fortunately bought two of these belts. I ordered on August 17 and received and installed a few days later. The first belt was shredded by the end of September with only about four mows. I'm on the second belt now just waiting. These belts should run for YEARS, not weeks. Cheap junk.

Perfect fit replacement drive belt for cub cadet LT 1045 riding mower, quality looks good though time will tell. Original belt only lasted 150 hrs. Oil dripped on old belt when changing yearly and destroyed it. Quality looks original, quick shipping,Happy with purchase so far.

This particular replacement belt is not lasting more than 30 d on our Cub Cadet mower. We have had better luck with other brands/suppliers. Our mower is no spring chicken anymore, but there is no reason for the belt to have chunks coming off of it this fast.
