Handy and sturdy
Got this for my brother for Christmas and within the first 2 weeks used it on 3 deer. Was helpful to get them in the tree and out of my sister in laws horse barn xD

Decent… Within Limitations
This hoist is about what I’d expect for the price… It will do the job, if the job is small enough. From the perspective of sturdiness, this hoist leaves plenty to be desired. I wouldn’t trust it to lift more than 200 lbs based on the construction, the moderate rigidity of the metal hooks, and the resistance of the bearings in the pulley. That said, if you’re looking for a hoist to help with smaller game, this is a good value for the money, in my opinion.Ultimately, this is a story of “you get what you pay for.” Will it work? Sure… but don’t put it under too much stress. If you do, it is likely it will cause more issues than it will help the cause. So, approach this product accordingly. Know its intended use for your hunting purposes, and if your objectives exceed the limitations of the hoist (as described above), you’d likely be best off to look at other options.

great buy for the money
this gambrel is a great buy for the money, pulleys are metal seem to be strong , the rope is a nylon rope which i would recommend wearing gloves to keep from sliding in your hands. Overall worth the money
