Great disposal, solid construction, even better price.
I replaced an Insinkerator that failed. After looking around on Amazon I saw that Waste Maid has good reviews, and the price was just what I was looking for. I'm not so great with installing appliances so I had our handyman do it for me. It had a perfect fit and he had it installed in under 45 minutes and it was easy to install. It's actually quieter than our Insinkerator used to be and it does a great job. The day after it was installed, a tiny micro screw from a water kettle fell down into it and got stuck solid. It was easy to remove, however, and fell through so I was really happy that the unit was so easy to clear from a jam. There's solid manufacturing behind it but it's not nearly as heavy as our last unit.

works great
quieter and more powerful than the Badger that it replaced. It fit the old mounting hardware so it was super easy to install.

Solid, great value
Replaced a 5 year old Badger that rusted out, only used for very easy food debris. This Waste Maid was easy to install and is much quieter than Badger. I chose a model with stainless steel to hope it wont rust out as it wont be overworked by any means.

Very good value
Much. Water than the junk it replaced. Quiet enough not to be a real problem. Hope it doesn’t rust out like the previous junk. Supposed to be stainless steel inside so I don’t expect a problem Much better gasket to pipe seal no leaks.

Get this Brand - you'll be happy!
I would definitely buy again and definitely recommend. Totally stainless steel grinder area (not just the blades- which buyer beware many say totally stainless but they're talking just the blades), quieter than the "name brand favorite", easy to install, very happy with. Oh, and cost $10 less than the "name brand favorite" that doesn't have all stainless insides.

Easy Replacement
I have replaced existing Badger 5, 1/2 HP Garbage Disposal with Waste Maid 10-US-WM-258-3B which is 35 percent cheaper compared to Badger 5 and does the same job. As described in the product details, it is compatible with standard 3-bolt mounting system which made the installation very simple. The dishwasher connector length is less than an inch, which made this connection difficult because my previous Badger 5 model had a longer extension, and the existing hose connector was cut to precise length with no slack. From all other aspects, this is a great product with easy installation and competitive pricing. I would definitely recommend this product for anyone who looking for 1/2 HP garbage disposer.

Great quality for the price - quieter, too!
Great quality. It's quieter and feels "smoother" than the old one that cost more than twice as much.
