Q: I have tilled the yard do i need to add a top soil before ez seed

Hi James, there's no need to add soil first, but if you do, you will want to make sure that the new soil is mixed in with the native soil before applying Scotts EZ Seed Patch & Repair Sun.

Q: will this grow in middle Georgia?

I would think so, we planted it in North Houston which is further south than middle Georgia. I am stuck in Texas and a Georgia Lady and I would use this anywhere in Georgia, we took a gamble in North Houston, Texas and was amazed at how well it held and grew. I would use this product again.

Q: I know this prefers 60-80 degrees but will I get any growth above 80 degrees? My lawn looks terrible and I'm desperate for even a bit of growth.

I planted in the spring and started seeing grass just after a week. It did not survive after consecutive days in the mid 80's. I started my regular water routine by then. There is a low laying area where water water runs too. That area did survive 5-6 days of 90+ degrees. Water management is the key.

Q: I have Bolero Plus (90 fescue - 10 bluegrass) it does well in the sun but not shade, will this mix blend in with my Bolero yet work in the shade?

Hi Matthew, typically bluegrass, ryegrass and fescue type cool season grasses can all be used together. The exception to this is when using tall fescue because it will have a different growth habit and size then the rest of the cool season lawn types. We usually don't suggest using tall fescue in a bluegrass, ryegrass and fescue lawn unless it is a tall fescue lawn to begin with. If you don't already have a tall fescue lawn, we recommend using Scotts® EZ Seed® Patch & Repair Sun and Shade.
