Great to keep heavy horses light
My young mare is a partial light draft horse and began testing whether she could "pull through" snaffle bit pressure, especially when asked to bend through corners. This bit encourages her not to lean, and while it requires soft hands, it provides clear and precise communication that she respects, leading to less "battles of will" and more relaxation in her overall. Recommend.

Good Bit
I bought this bit for my new mare who is hard in the mouth and a bit hard to control on rides away from home. She actually seems muuuch more comfortable in this bit and more quiet in the mouth, it’s not been a miracle worker for her hard mouth but it’s allowing clear communication so I can work on her training to get her softened up. So far we’re both happy with this bit

Nice gag bit, not too harsh
Needed a bit for a strong running mate. Does the job without pulling on her mouth. Also collects her well.

The shank on both ends really extends things. May need to shorten bridle
So far so good. My Arab likes to get a little fast sometimes (shocker) and this seemed to get his attention but not in a harsh way. I am lite handed and a medium pressure really did the trick. I had a horse who was reallylistening to me even tho he wanted to take off.

After a month of use the bit has worn down on the shanks and now it does not move freely at all. This bit is junk!
