A Reliable and Versatile Deep Fryer - Perfect for Turkey and More!
After reading various reviews about this deep fryer, I was initially hesitant about making a purchase. However, I decided to give it a try, and I'm glad I did! I've used it twice now to fry turkeys, and both times, the results were absolutely perfect. Some reviewers mentioned that the skin on the turkey wasn't crispy, but I found that following the instructions carefully led to excellent results every time. The deep fryer is easy to use and heats up quickly, allowing for efficient cooking. One of the standout features of this deep fryer is its versatility. Not only can it be used for deep frying, but it also doubles as a boiler and steamer. This makes it an excellent investment for those who enjoy cooking a variety of dishes.Additionally, the drain valve makes it incredibly easy to drain the oil and clean the fryer after use. This is a huge plus, as cleaning up after deep frying can often be a messy and time-consuming process.Overall, I highly recommend this deep fryer to anyone looking for a reliable and versatile cooking appliance. The excellent results I achieved with my turkeys, combined with its ability to boil and steam, make it well worth the price. Don't be put off by negative reviews that may not accurately reflect the product's quality - follow the instructions, and you'll be delighted with the results!

Great for turkeys
Use this to fry multiple turkeys every Thanksgiving. Super easy to set up and use and fries a turkey in less an hour (approx 4 mins per pound). Takes a bit of time for the oil to initially heat up so be sure to turn on 30-46 minutes before you need to start cooking. Easy clean up, too.

Cooks good
It gives the quality of restaurant food. It cooks in a timely manner. Its large enough to cook a lot of food at one time. I would like to see handles located in a different area. This is my second one. The new version is built different.you get all accessories to operate and clean. The design is a different but its okay. Its easy to change the oil

These are the best and safest fryers in my openion!
This is my second Masterbuilt 3-in1Electric Turkey Fryer. After at lease 5 years, give or take a year or so. When they first came out I purchased my first one which still works great today. This is my second one and I purchased it just to have as a spare or cook two turkeys of whatever I'm cooking at the same time. next year my plans are to do something different like fry a second turkey in or I may go out on a limb, for the first time I've tried, and do a low country boil in the second for the seafood lovers. If your thinking about and comparing them I would buy this make again hands down. When I was younger we always used the open flame propane pot cookers, and after this I can't go back because "IMO" they are much safer! They take a little extra time heat up, espically when it's cool outside, but once it's ready you just slowy put the turkey in close the lid and set the timer for the weight and suggested cooking time and leave it alone until the cooking time has lapsed. I just can't say enough how much I recommend the Masterbuilt 3-in1. "Please Note" I am not trying to speak badly of the open flame propane pot cookers because with proper use and extra caution they work great. Always make sure your turkeys are dry as possible inside & out regardless of whatever cooker you choose...Water/moister and hot cooking oil will flame up in a second, and the most common mistake many people make! Just pat the inside & outside down before preparing the seasons to rub it down with. I put mine in the refigerator in a pan on a cooking stand, or sometimes called a beer can cooking stand, overnight the night before cooking. "Just a suggestion that has worked great for me".

I have used 3 times since purchasing it for Thanksgiving. It works great and the Turkeys all have tasted great. The cleaning process is a bit annoying, but not difficult. Looking forward to using it again.

Have to think of more things to fry!
We got this for doing a fried turkey and it worked great! We did a 12lbs turkey and it fit great, note that as you get towards the high end of the turkey sizes you need to cut wings and legs off to make the bigger birds fit. Our fit great with the fryer filled to the max fill level. The turkey tasted great, we brined it to try and keep it moist and feel that helped, still would say a little dryer than an over roasted turkey. Now that we have it we need to think of more things to fry! We did potato latkes in it and my wife said they were the best ones she has ever had. Fried them much more evenly than when we would pan fry and not much mess.We end up using it in the garage to keep the oil smell down in the house and keep the hot oil away from the kids. The drain on it really helps with cleanup. After it cools i put a reusable teabag over the end and let the oil slowly drip out. Takes a while but helps to keep food chunks out of the oil.Note this thing is big, around the size of a small microwave, but for something that can fit a turkey thats expected. Overall i felt this was much safer than a gas deep fryer and felt very comfortable running it in the garage so that i could stay warm and didnt feel the need to monitor it as closely as i would have with a gas fryer. It would definitely be ok in the house too, just didnt want to make the whole house smell like oil and didnt want to worry about our kids climbing on the counter and messing with it.
