Worked as advertised.
Work great on the project I was working.

works for ender 3 but backwards
works but is backwards compared to stock rotary knob. Not a huge deal to spin it the opposite direction, though I spin it the wrong way the first time about 99% of the time. Could take it apart and re-wire the 2 pins but it doesnt bother me enough to actually fix it. Only needed 1 so I sold the other 4 on eBay.

Good value for simple control
I tested all five of the encoders and all were working fine. Not very high resolution, with only 20 pulses per revolution, but perfect for simple OLED menu control. I've successfully used them in multiple such projects.I prefer this style (threaded shaft with nut) as they're easy to mount in a box compared to the ones on a PC mount module.Great value at two bucks each, with knobs included.

Nice ‘clicky’ encoder, a bit tricky with breadboards
This rotary encoder works reliably and has a strong click feel as it moves through each position. The legs are quite malleable though and I was not able to pin them into a breadboard without them popping right out at the lightest touch. Once actually in a soldered circuit though they have worked very reliably for me

These are essentially just trash
they do not function very well at all, outside of the click. the rotary action is quite poor. it will frequently register going in either direction no matter which direction you turn it. the only way to get an expected result is to start to turn the knob, without allowing it to click past its position. but if you go to far it will read the opposite direction. also, if you do this it thinks the dial is being forever turned.i tested 4 of 5 pieces and just dont have the patience to wire up the 5th. i know what will happen. this is a very low quality product as mentioned by other reviews.. i just didnt read them before it was too late.save yourself some money, dont buy them or get a different piece of equipment from someone else.

Mine are usable but noisy.
I was unsure at first, because a multimeter shows an open circuit from GND to A and GND to B.However, it is definitely doing four pulses per stop, with each stop open circuit, presumably to make it so a pull up resistor won't be wasting power.I was able to use the Encoder library for the Teensy (pjrc) and it had a lot of noise (scores of pulses) but overall it still went a predictable four steps per stop.I wouldn't recommend them highly, but at least my batch was tolerable.

love these pots.
Very good pots, love the added button. Great for menus like on 3d printers. seems very well constructed and worth giving it a go.

single step per detent encoder.
Some reviews said these gave 4 steps per detent. Not so with the ones I got. Single step a-b 90 deg. output just as expected.
