Best collar made
I have used Hamilton dog callers, and horse halters and leads for over twenty years. They are very well designed and hold up for years without fail.I notice that after a few year the night red and blue collars fade a bit. That’s pretty much true of many red and blue object exposed to sunlight day after day for long periods.

Great collars. Ignore sizing guidance
I've been using this collar on our retriever and just got one for the new member of the household. The collar is primarily for tags and FitBark gps (another great product that provides location and activity data). I like the standard buckle/hole style rather than the clip type because it cannot be tightened by another dog pulling on it or catching on something. I also like how thick they are, making the edges soft/rounded. His neck is 19 inches and we're using the 24 inch on the 3rd of 4 holes. I like to keep them a bit loose so he can slip out if it gets caught. I don't use it for walks or training. We use a harness or gentle leader for walks but we have the option to tighten the collar if needed in an emergency. We use a martingale for training (Only...never leave them on!) so he cannot back out of it. Our new baby is now old enough for a collar to wear her tags and fitbark. Her neck is 13-14 inches. The 20 inch collar let's us use the 2nd or 3rd hole with room for growth and again lets her slip out if it gets caught. I know there are recommendations to keep collars tight enough to only slip two fingers through but with a double-coated dog, it causes matting and itching. Retrievers have relatively large heads compared to their necks so fit will vary by breed. Summary: in our case, we are adding 5-7 inches to the measurement to be able to use a middle holes allowing us to tighten or loosen depending on the time of year and coat thickness (before and after they blow their undercoat in the spring). Please please please do not leave a pinch, choke chain, or martingale collar on a dog unless you are actively training on lead. It is so dangerous. I cringe when I see that.

Dog collar with a metal buckle
It seems like it's hard to find a dog collar with a real metal buckle - instead of plastic - these days. This is a decent option for one. It starts to fray and look messy relatively quickly. And it doesn't clean well in the wash. But it's ok.

Well made, strong collar
This is the second time that be ordered this collar. It’s very well made. I wouldn’t have had to replace it except my dog got skunked. Highly recommend! Seller is easy to work with!

Yes, sizing is an issue, but this is a quality collar
I'd have loved to give this 4-1/2 stars, but since that's not an option, I went 5 because the drawback isn't much of a drawback for me.We bought two of these, one in purple (22-inch) and one in lime (18-inch) for two large mixed-breed puppies (the biggest one was 50 pounds at about 7 months). It's a really durable collar. The cheapo collars non-nylon collars with plastic parts we had before stretched and the plastic mechanisms were too apt to adjust when they played, so it would either choke them or get so loose they'd slip it immediately when they were on leash. The Hamilton does stretch minimally over time, but not enough to be a problem. When we got them, the colors were as expected from the pictures, too, which was nice. They're very attractive collars and while any collar becomes dingy with wear, these held up better than many. Our dogs tend to slip their collars (they probably have some greyhound or whippet in them), but we weren't sure about a Martingale collar because of their considerably larger mass (than a full-blood greyhound) and because they have some of the same drawbacks as choke collars. They don't slip these as easily as the cheap ones, but just to be safe, we decided on harnesses. We got the matching harnesses to these, and the colors matched well. Hamilton Adjustable Easy-On Step-In Style Dog Harness, 3/4-Inch by 20-30-Inch, Medium, Lime Green As others have mentioned, the sizing of the collars is a problem. The smaller dog was still growing, and when she outgrew the 18-inch, we went the next size up, which is 22. Unfortunately, the largest adjustment on the 18-inch is too small and the shortest adjustment on the 22-inch has a size (or few) in between. We knew this going into it, though, since we already had the other dog's 22-inch to check with, and were prepared to add an eyelet to the larger collar, which has worked relatively well so far.Other than that, we're really pleased.

good
checks out good in all areas except the one they don't ask about.... sizing it works but compared to others I have bought in the size range this one is short and have to use the end hold.

Great Collar - Sizing WAY Off
This is a great collar. Very durable, lasts a long time, great bright colors. This is my second purchase of this brand collar for my dog, his first is still in great shape, he just outgrew it.BUT, the sizing is WAY off.My Shepherd measures 22.5" where a well fitted collar typically sits, and 23.5" down his neck near his shoulders, where a loose fitted collar would fall to.I purchased a 24 and a 26 to see which was a better fit.The 26" fits him on the FIRST hole (tightest hole), the 24" fits him on the LAST hole (loosest hole).I am keeping the 26" collar so he has more growing room.I hope this helps others to figure out the correct size and not have to order multiple and return as I did!

Fine
Good but I returned because the color wasn’t the same as online and I got the wrong size

it is nice to find a sturdy collar with metal buckle, as plastic one seem to always brake
the metal buckle is so much stronger than plastic ones on other collars that seem to always brake or get chewed up

Strong collar for large breed, pullers
I have a 115 lbs Lab and at times he can pull . I wanted a steel buckle and the nylon is doubled up. So there was no chance of him breaking the buckle. Great product

Exactly what we were looking for
It's so difficult to find a sturdy collar with this style of buckle. I'm glad we found this one, and it's lasted great so far!

Nice Collar
Needed a 1" collar without plastic buckles since I have a very nice 1" slotted stainless steel name tag. It's a very nice rich red (the colour is wrong on the web page). Rather stunning on our yellow lab.
