Description

Betty is featured at her "Boop-Oop-a-Doop" best in this collection of classic shorts, including "Rise to Fame," "Minnie the Moocher," "Poor Cinderella," "Red Hot Mamma," "Bimbo's Initiation," "Betty Boop for President" and seven other favorites. Also includes two "Bouncing Ball Screen Songs" from the famed Fleischer Studios.

Pre-Code Boop

The out-of-print "Betty Boop Confidential" features plenty of freewheeling surrealism and pre-Code humor from Betty, Bimbo and Koko. "Minnie the Moocher" (1932) and "I Heard" (1933) remain animation classics, featuring terrific music by Cab Calloway and Don Redman. Despite the regrettable exclusion of "Snow White" (1933), an essential Fleischer video — more thoughtfully assembled than Olive Films' recent DVD releases.
