Q: Will it accommodate bowls besides the one that comes with it? Smaller bowls? Do the bowls spin during mixing?

The base has a depression for the bowl which comes with the mixer. The bowl has tabs which lock the bowl in place so it doesn’t spin around. My bowl is still a tad difficult to remove after kneading bread because it’s locked itself to the base pretty securely. But each time u use it it becomes easier to remove. The beater’s “axle” rotates as well as the beater spinning. Thus any bowl you place on the base must be wide enough to handle the wide diameter. If you have a wide enough bowl you could use it if you hold it in place with your hands. But, no, smaller bowls will not work in this mixer.

Q: What is the maximum bread dough capacity it will mix without any problems.?

Eight cups of flour seems to be the largest amount that works without any issues.

Q: How do you lower the blades? Mine does not mix ingredients at bottom of bowl.

that is a flaw with unit, it does not go all the way to bottom of bowl.

Q: Can I adjust the height for the beaters? It doesn’t mix to the bottom

The height of the beaters cannot be adjusted. I use mine primarily to make bread (with the bread hook). My wife has used the regular beaters to make meringues and cakes. The only time she has a problem is for very small recipes, i.e.. mixing 3 or fewer eggs. She uses her portable beaters in the Vivohome bowl to get these started, then adds the other ingredients and uses the Vivohome beaters. I’ve had mine for 9 months, it works flawlessly.
