I guess they must have gotten sick of returns due to damage during shipping because the packaging was beyond what I've seen in just about anything that I've ordered. Not only was there the standard sheets of styrofoam padding between all of the pieces, but all of the edges and ends were encased in metal panels to protect the contents.When I first opened the box I thought those metal pieces were part of the cabinet, but they were there purely for shipping. So despite the hefty weight of it all, the item did arrive undamaged, which is nice.The assembly was fairly straight-forward, only one type of fastener was used for everything. The one thing I do wish it had was some way to attach the top of the cabinet to the wall to prevent it from tipping over. Right now I have shims under the front so that it leans back ever so slightly. I can easily drill holes in the inside panels and just use some screws, drywall anchors, and washers to do it though, so no biggie.The metal isn't especially heavy duty feeling, but not really flimsy either, I feel it should hold up pretty well. The door hinges are not heavy duty either so keep that in mind, if you feel like you'll be opening and closing this thing daily it might not be for you, but if you're using it for storage that will be opened every now and then it should be fine. I guess just treat it like a medium duty cabinet and it should suit your needs pretty well. I wouldn't consider it a heavy duty cabinet like it's advertised. But I'm satisfied with it.

This cabinet is for medium duty. I use it in an IT shop to store small, generally lightweight items before they are placed into production.I was delighted how easily it was assembled. It can be handled and moved easily (when empty) with just one person.Perfect for my business.How can I give 5 stars to each item yet only 4 stars overall? I was tempted, as the box was received with a large crease on the outside. This translated to a crease in some of the protective metal material inside. And unfortunately one of the panels had a bend in it. Not desiring to go through the pain of re-packing and returning, I was happy that the slightly bent piece was one of the two back panels and was able to assemble the unit with the bend not being visible. But this worries me, as this is one of two packages received from Amazon the same day and both had damage that appeared to be from poor handling.

I purchased this locker to store items that need to be locked out of sight/easy reach. It's not a freaking safe people, it's a basic metal cabinet that locks. I put it together in an afternoon with simple tools. The assembly instructions were only slightly vague (I had to back track once because I was rushing) - if you can handle a DIY furniture project this is not going to be a problem for you. The final result was better than expected. Four keys provided for the lock as well, which was nice too. I have HEAVY objects (hint: military cans) on the shelves, which theoretically hold over 100 pounds each according to the spec. I'm probably close to that on several shelves and there is no noticeable sag or indication of reaching the limits of shelf capacity. Adjustable feet on each corner makes leveling a breeze. Good enough for my garage and storage needs - priced right and manageable by one person in an afternoon. Definitely recommend!

This shelf was inexpensive and had free shipping. I was skeptical but it arrived early and the package was undamaged. The packaging was remarkable. The entire contents insode the cardboard were wrapped in a metal and wooden shell. Still, the edge of one of the doors was badly damaged. I was able to straighten it with pliers and a body hammer and dolly. Assemby was mostly easy even with the micro instructions. Be careful not to over tighten the screws, they are easy to strip.In the end, the cabinet seems sturdy and is square. Though there is a big "Made in China" sticker right on the front.

Yes, my product came damagedNo, I don’t careBut you might. It came somewhat damaged but I’m using this storage cabinet for the garage so I don’t care. It came with small dents on the top corners. At one point, the door would close because of a dent. You know what you do? Get a pair of pliers and bend it back to place. Problem solved. It’s a good piece. Sturdy. Doors seem to not be flimsy. Sure if someone tackles it like a football player, I’m sure you can break through the doors but it’s in my garage so who’s going to do that?Again - if you are a perfectionist and do not like your products with ANY sort of scratch, dent, or dings. You may want to look somewhere else. If you honestly don’t care like me, this product is great.

This is a great cabinet especially for the garage! To start, I was very impressed with the packaging. Care taken like this lets you know you are about get something good. Once out of the box, found instructions very easy to follow. Assembly not difficult at all. Good gauge metal, nice looking finish and sturdy. I am very happy with the purchase. Caught this on sale, which made me even happier. You wanna' be happy? Get one.
