Saturated colors. Easy to work with.

These are sample sizes that would normally be given away individually as freebies to get you to use their product. But instead they bundled a few together and sold them. I was looking for an assortment of colors and was ok with small skeins in order to get a variety of colors. But these “skeins” are about the size of two adult fingers or 2.5-3 inches. The yarn itself is very soft for cotton. I would be happy with a bit more of it. If you are ok with paying to have a few samples sent to you, then this is a great option.

I decided to try this out to make a crocheted patchwork scarf. I read the reviews and saw the the balls of yarn were very small, but I didn't realize how small until I got them. I guess if I would have done over, I would have just got the pack fo 50 for $30, rather than spending $10 for 10.(Later). After I crocheted with this, I was surprised at how far a skein would go. The yarn was very easy to work with too. So, I just ordered the pack of 50.

The balls of yarn are tiny, yes. And there’s no way they’d work up into the booties as pictured, so that’s not a suitable photo to show this yarn’s potential use. I’ve bought yarn bonbons before, and these are smaller than expected. But the yarn is nice, and I’d have been happy enough with my purchase, if I’d received the selection I choose. But the colors I received were not at all the selection shown, and I was careful to check that I was ordering the assortment with the colors I need for my project.If you don’t mind receiving any random assortment of colors, and only need small bits of yarn for a small project, this is a perfectly lovely yarn, and comes well wrapped. But if you need specific colors, please don’t trust the photos shown here.

These are little pops of color. Perfect for crochet flowers, amigurumi, or adding pops of color to knit mittens, or…The possibilities are endless!

I've bought Bonbon type yarn before, so I knew what to expect in regard to size -- these are tiny skeins, about 3" in length and the yarn is thin... thicker than embroidery floss, but thinner than baby weight yarn. I enjoy working with it on specific projects. However, what I was not expecting is 12 skeins of variegated yarn. The image on here shows 12 different solid colors, which is what I wanted. I wouldn't have purchased if I knew I would be getting variegated skeins (all different, but all variegated). I'm sure I'll find a use for them eventually, so I'll keep them, but I think there should be a separate listing for solids are variegated yarns in this set.

I bought these for a family member who likes to crochet. I confess I did not read the info on these very well. When they say BonBon yarns they mean Small for real. The family member happens to like small things, so she wasn't upset at all. Said she was happy with them. Just to help someone clarify the size .. each skein is enough to knit or crochet the palm of a pair of gloves. Just one glove. So the Other glove palm would have to be a different color. I would not buy this again, because it really is too little yarn for the price.
