Good sleeping bag, definitely worth its value
I bought the TETON +5F Sleeping Bag to use for fall through spring camping. I was initially looking for a down fill sleeping bag since winter months would require a much warmer sleeping bag. This sleeping bag, however, had great reviews, so I purchased it and am fully satisfied with the purchase. The innovative synthetic filling actually provides much more warmth than I had thought it would. As soon as I received the product, I tried climbing into it, zippered myself inside (quite easily, with minimal snagging) and pulled the drawstring tight to cover most of my face. The inside of the sleeping bag was comfortable and roomy enough that I could actually move my legs freely and even maneuvered myself to an upright position. It also compresses easily and rolls nicely to fit into the compression sack. The stitching and overall construction of the bag is solid--none of that "cheap," quick stitching. The compression sack is also well made, with solid stitching, and two plastic locking clips to protect the opening at the top (after the drawstring is pulled tight, you can use the locking clips to further compress the bag). And the best part, it really is ultralight, as described in its product details. I used the bag during a trip at the beginning of November, will be returning again this weekend, and expect the same positive experience. Just remember to have a decent camping mat to place under the sleeping bag. A decently priced self-inflating--and also insulated, if possible--mat seems best to protect the user from the cold and hard ground. Overall, a solid product for its price, and I would definitely recommend that others purchase this as well. TETON's a reputable brand, and this product certainly lives up to its name.

Very good for the price!
I bought this for some late-fall motorcycle camping. I chose this bag because it is warm, reasonably priced, packs down small and is pretty light (not ultralight, but good for my purposes). Temps got down into the 30s and I remained warm throughout the night. I did have sleeping pad underneath the bag, too. No bag will keep you warm year round unless you have a proper sleeping pad/mattress with desired R value

The temperature got down to the low 40s/upper 30s and I am so glad I had this bag
I got this bag for an October camping trip and compared it to the very similar Ledge model. I ended up picking this one because of the soft lining and poofy foot box. I've never really had a sleeping bag nor have I wanted one because of how constricting they are but I've also been frozen and unable to sleep on every camping trip until this last one. The temperature got down to the low 40s/upper 30s and I am so glad I had this bag. Granted I did layer up with socks, long johns and a hat, I stayed cozy and warm all night to the point that I woke up burning and had to shed some layers. This is unusual considering I get cold so easily, I even wear sweaters in the summer. I'm petite, about 5'3" and I felt like the bag was fairly tight but it didn't bother me so much as warmth was more important. I'm a side sleeper too but I was perfectly comfortable rolling on my side with the bag rolling with me. My much taller boyfriend also got this bag and he was comfortable and warm as well. There are a few downsides to this bag which other reviewers have mentioned but for the price I can live with it. First, it's bulky, something to be expected of a winter sleeping bag with fiberfill. Now it wouldn't seem so bulky if I could have had an easier time stuffing it into the compression sack but the sack is pretty useless once you take the bag out for the first time. I had to cram the sleeping bag with my foot to get it to fit back in and after about 15 minutes of struggling I gave up. The compression straps honestly don't compress much either. I knew this would probably be an issue before I bought the bag so at some point I will probably just get a legit compression sack that works better. Last thing is that the zipper snags easily. It's not a particularly highly quality zipper and the thick piping next to it that helps insulate the bag constantly gets in the way of zipping the bag. I also had a feeling it would be a problem but I remind myself how much I paid for the bag and am glad it does what it's supposed to - keep me warm. So if you're not interested in spending $300+ on a bag, this bag is a really decent affordable option.

I was warm with ice on the tents
I received this bag just in time for my boys first campout with their boy scout troop. For reference, for our cub scout campouts I'd been using the same fiber fill sleeping bags that I and my father had when I was a kid in scouts, circa 1980 technology. So I handed those down to the boys and picked this up for myself. It arrived in a much smaller box than I expected - it packs down to about half of those old bags and certainly weighs a good deal less. I do not know exactly how cold it got, but there was ice on the tents in the morning, so I'd guess around 30F. Not much colder. My feet were already quite cold when I got into the bag, but they warmed up after about 20 minutes. I was wearing a t-shirt, long-sleeve shirt, flannel pants and 2 layers of socks. I had a blanket on top of the bag and I was quite toasty warm in the bag...almost too warm. I considered removing the blanket on several occasions. The footbox is a welcome addition compared to my old bag - kept my toes much warmer. The straps and buckles on the bag, for additional compression, is a nice addition as well. The interior lining has a nice soft texture - not like the slippery plastic feel of my old bags. For the price, this is a great bag. I expect to be camping monthly for the next 10 years - if this bag holds up, then it is an outstanding deal. Also to note: I'm about 5'10 and 155 lbs -- there is not a lot of spare room in this bag for someone my size. It is not a tight fit, but I'm definitely not swimming in there, either.

This is a fantastic sleeping bag for the money. It is not considered light weight for some long distant hikers but, I do motorcycle camping and its light enough and small enough for that. I do mainly spring summer fall camping and this bag keeps me warm. I did a fall camping trip in Canada's Coastal mountains at 7000 ft elevation and i was a little cool (- 4C), nothing that flannel pants and a shirt didn't solve. Its very well made and I found they made the bag a little larger than your traditional mummy bag. As a 6' 3" 250 lb man the bag was comfortable to sleep in. Teton also made a larger than normal foot box so there is some movement for your feet, which i appreciate. The colour is a nice red and grey. The material used inside the bag is very comfortable and warm. The fabric on the outside appears to be very durable. The zippers work great. As with any bag I recommend a self inflating sleeping matt for warmth and comfort from the rocks, sticks etc. I highly recommend this sleeping bag for people that don't want to spend a fortune and get value instead. It is exceptionally well made. As with any sleeping bag be sure to store it out of its storage bag and hang it up or lay it on a spare room bed to retain its loft until your next camping trip, the bag will last for years. I don't regret buying it. Value in this case does not mean compromise. I have had this sleeping bag for years and its still the one I use. I would not hesitate to buy again. Teton makes great products.
