Fantastic Marine Carb
Purchased online for a fraction of retail. Shipped in OEM packaging. Installed on Mercruiser in a Donzi to replace a quadra-jet and took less than thirty minutes. This has increased performance and the fuel burn is about the same as before. This carb. is easier to adjust and keep clear of fouling from new fuels than the stock Weber unit.

Outstanding!
Direct replacement for the Carter/Weber Carb on my 1997 Sea Ray 230 with the 7.4l Magnum. Only issue was Mercruiser uses a rubber ring gasket on their spread-bore adapter, remove it and the edelbrock square bore gasket will seal up nicely. No adjustments were necessary, straight from the box to the motor. Engine now starts first crank every time and has 150% better throttle response!

good on gas at moderate speeds also
Just opened the box & bolted it on my brand new motor. Fired right up, only had to adjust the idle speed. No problems no hesitation just power, good on gas at moderate speeds also.

It's a Keeper
Picked up the Edelbrock 1410 to replace my old Carter 750 AFB for my 1979 PennYan 24XE. Carter's were great on performance but didn't take kindly to the gasohol. The Edelbrock 1410 is an updated and better built Carter. Just tired of rebuilds every few yrs due to crappy fuel. The 1410 is suppose to be able to handle todays fuel. So it's a time will tell deal. Bolted right in with their spread bore to square bore adapter and having to run a P lead for electric choke. It all fit almost perfect with a little tweaking on fuel filter and supply line. Just need a sunny day to go launch and test. But real happy with it so far and expect it to preform as advertised.

On my boat engine.
What was really bad is when I took the top airhorn assy off to verify jet size and saw the workmanship. Whoever installed the 4 brass metering jets must have used a claw hammer or air chisel to tighten them. The slots on 3 of the 4 jets were badly damaged/stripped during the installation. I was able to remove them to replace them but would never reuse those brass jets again. Some of the deformed brass was actually covering the orifice and would restrict fuel flow and small brass chips were in the carb body under the jets and had to be blown out. Quality Control doesn't exist or he was asleep. It's a 750 CFM marine carb being used on a 454 CI in my boat. After I went through the carb prior to install and it works ok. Someone at Edelbrock needs some training putting carbs together. I would not want any pieces of metal getting sucked into the engine and taking a ride up and down on the pistons or stuck in a ring groove. I was leaving on vacation and didn't have time to return it so it's now used. Come on Edelbrock. I paid a lot of money and expect better.

Glad I bought it
Had a Rochester Quadrajet and I just didn’t like the way the engine ran. Replaced it with this carb (used an adapter plate) and the engine ran soooo much smoother and the idle was spot on out of the box.

Starts right up and runs great.
Bolted up on my 1993 Mercruiser 7.4 Bravo II with no issues. Starts right up and runs great.
