High-quality product worth the premium cost.
It cost a lot more than the alternatives, but it works extraordinarily well. I don’t think I’ll ever go back to the Home Depot cheapie. This makes the job so much easier because the spray is more robust and consistent.

Lots to like
This unit seems well-constructed and should last a long time. The extra long spray wand and extra length hose let me spray further and, since I am tall, I don’t have to bend down to het the spray exactly where I want it. The 2 gallon capacity is just right for me, and has the added bonus of of raising the pump handle higher as well. The hose is larger diameter than my old sprayer, and when fully pumped it will deliver a lot of spray quickly if you want it. My only concern is that the plastic pump shaft seems a little flimsy; time will tell. This one cost a little more than others, but the extra features are well worth it to me.

The WORST Sprayer I have ever purchased, and I have had quite a few!
This sprayer did jot work right from the first time I used it. Initaily, it would not hold pressure. I spoke to Jonathan Reynolds at Chapin, and he told me how to correct the problem. I did what he told me to do. Then, I filled the sprayer with water and the deer deterrent that I wanted to use to protect my daylilies and hostas. The sprayer worked for about 20 minutes. It was holding pressure, but it was spray for about 15 seconds and then the liquid would just dribble out. So, I called Mr. Reynolds agai, he told me to take all of the wand apart and make sure that it was cleaned out. I did that. I tested it with just water, and it worked, I tested it again, and then I finally put the chemical in it that I wanted to use. It worked for about 20 minutes, and then it started doing the same thing. Full of pressure, and it would spray really good for about 15 or 20 seconds and then dribble. Both times, I ended up spending a lot more time to accomplish what I wanted to get done by having to pour the product into a small hand sprayer. Finally, I gave up and decided to try to get my money back. Mr. Reynolds told me he could not give me a refund because I bought this unit through Amazon. So, I called Amazon. They agreed to give me back 30% of my purchase therefore I got a little over $16 back on a $55 or so purchase. I am not happy.

Good middle of the road sprayer
Great Sprayer. I have 4 different hand pump sprayers(1,2 and 3 gallon), and 1 battery operated 1.25 gallon. I use the 1.25 gallon battery operated and 3 gallon hand pump to disperse insecticide around and in my property, and I use the 1 and 2 gallon hand pump sprayers to disperse herbicide outside around my yard to keep weeds and unwanted vegetation at bay. This is my favorite and most reliable hand pump sprayer. I will pump it about 30 times and it will keep a good stream/fan coming out the nozzle for quite awhile.Price to quality ratio is good. I've had this sprayer for 2 years and still no issues. I pulled it out the back of an old garage I use as a large shed to store my snow blower, lawn mower, pool stuff etc...etc...... It was hidden behind some old tire tubes. I noticed that it was about 1/2 full with liquid and knew I hadn't used it since last yr.(2014). I thought oh boy if there is still insecticide in there, the nozzle is probably clogged up, and it might not work. I opened up the container and I could instantly smell insecticide and when I moved the liquid around a bit a white cloud was in the bottom. I emptied the container of its contents and rinsed it out as best I could. I then filled it with about 2 gallons of water, pumped it full of air and squeezed the trigger. At first the water was coming out in tiny spurts as if the tank was empty and not full, which is a sign of the nozzle/tube being clogged. I kept pulling the trigger until finally a steady stream of water came out. I did this until the 2 gallons of water was emptied from the tank. I filled it with water and insecticide a few days a ago and sprayed around the baseboards in my house and closets and inside the window wells, and the entire basement. It didnt clog once

Solid build with quality parts, but may have an extrusion problem
Looked solid and easy to put together. Unfortunately, I could pump all day long, and nothing came out. Went back through each piece + also tried to feel where air would be escaping and didn't help. Finally, was sure it had to be the seal between punp and the body. Visually it doesn't look like a round hole, but it is. Finally ran my finger along the lip and found that about 25% of the lip had extra plastic [extrusion problem]. Do I send it back [hassle] or take a rasp and fix it my self. By attacking with an angle so face was not affected, I removed the offending plastic and now it can spray!!!

It pays to invest in the better tools
This sprayer gets the job done. I am quite pleased with this product. Over several decades I have used a variety of sprayers, plastic, metal, large, and small. This particular model has solved all my spraying needs. I purchased this sprayer as a replacement to a cheaper one that became more work itself than the work it was preventing. The sturdy construction gives the expectation of lasting many years. Not one part is flimsy. However, I do wish I could have a backup wand. With children still living at home and entering my shed, I can foresee a need to protect the plastic wand. It has an extra wide mouth for filling, and the filter is a strong plus. Sprayers without line filters in the tank will eventually find sediment in the sprayer nozzle that will lead to downtime and tedious repairs. The handle is comfortable to hold, and there appears to be eyelets on the tank for adding a support strap. After a sixty second assembly, I was able to spray deck sealer on a fence. It worked beautifully with little wasted product. The second use was to spray weedkiller. I was able to cover dense overgrowth from top to bottom, seven foot high to ground level in a matter of moments. The spray pattern from the brass nozzle gives great coverage that you can witness. No more dribbles or guesswork. All in all, this sprayer is a high recommendation on my tools to have list. Don't waste your money on cheap tools, you'll be throwing it away. this tank sprayer is an investment that will pay off.
