4FT led grow light

I live in the desert city of Las Vegas and having tropical plants is almost impossible. It's too hot in the summer and too cold in the winter. I needed more light on some indoor plants not receiving enough natural sunlight in my home. These tropical plants can't get direct light and so this grow light is perfect. Its 50 watts run for 8 hours along with the limit natural light that comes through my windows give just the right amount for them to do well. This helps place plants in areas of my house that was normally bear to green stuff. I eventually will rewire the lamp to be less noticeable on my wall, now I know the plants are thriving off it. The packaging from the manufacturer was a little thin and I had a few dimples on the edges of the light rim. This is not noticeable when suspended from 8 feet up. But if I had it lower, I might be inclined to return it. Overall this is a great source of light and runs great.

Its perfect for both succulents and my herbs. The light is very strong so despite it being high up on the ceiling, it is more than enough! It made one of my cactus plants grow new buds in the middle of winter. Furthermore, it made propagating new plants a lot easier. Its very easy to use and it didn’t take me very long to install, I just had to measure out the holes but I just followed the manual and it worked out. I’ve had it for a couple months now and haven’t had any complaints! I listened to the other reviews and made sure I had a basic extension chord to plug it into an outlet. If you see any succulents in my picture that look stretched out from not having enough light, they were like that prior to getting this light, im glad I could save them in the middle of pacific northwest winter.

To be used for seedlings this spring. LED light appears bright and colorful. We'll see how well the seedlings like it. Update: 3 months later I am growing seedlings in a window with the grow light as backup. I think it is very helpful to extend the photo period on grey days and after early sunsets. The light does not appear very bright compared to full daylight, but I think it is enough to keep seedlings growing. I think a second light will be needed to fully cover 2 10x20 trays of seedlings. I'll order that for next year. Still quite pleased.

When we first put these up in our hobby greenhouse the plants went wild! Flowers started blooming and every type of plant - flowers, veggies, all responded wonderfully! But now we are a few months out and notice the red/purple spectrum has faded out and it’s more white light now. Our plants are healthy but not as robust as before. At first the purple is almost blinding but now you don’t even notice until after dark and the greenhouse glows a light lavender. Has anyone else noticed this issue?

Just stopped by to get another one of these. We bought one in November 2019, and my husband really liked it so bought another in Jan 2020. One stopped working last May or June, and the other toward the end of summer. We ran them 24 hours a day all that time. My husband uses it for vegetable and flower starts, to perk up sad looking house plants, and to keep potted non-hardy outdoor plants healthy in the winter. Worked great. (lol, Also made a good nightlight, if I got up in the middle of the night. :D) I'm hoping the current version is as well made as the two that we bought a few years ago. I was shocked when I looked it up to get a new one and realized how long they had been running.

I really liked this lamp, I have had it for about 1 1/2 years and it always provided a decent amount of supplemental light for my house plants. Pretty much a no fuss setup, however the led strips are not lasting as long as promised. On one strip I have about 50% that flicker on and off and on the other strip I have about 40% that just don't work any longer. I have the light on a timer so it runs about 4 hours in the morning and 3 hours in the evening, so not continuous. Since the bulbs cannot be changed and it has been out of warranty for quite some time there is no recourse but to throw it away and replace, hence the 3 stars.

Final Update: Wow! Awesome customer service!!! The company reached out to me after an initial 2 star review due to damage and no way to exchange the item. They sent me a new light that is WONDERFUL AND they are changing their packaging for the future based on pictures I sent them that shows how the first light was damaged during shipping. KUDOS AntLux for caring about your products AND your customers!!! Special shout out to Ashlyn for her help, and for making the process so simple! Update: The company reached out to us and we are currently working with them to get a replacement. They also asked for pictures so they can change the way they ship the lights. Will update again when we receive the replacement. Cautiously optimistic. Original: Headline: Disappointed, bent and no replacement option / Haven’t hung the light yet. It came bent and if I return it, (I’m not getting a replacement option), I’ll have to buy a different one at a higher price. It’s usable, it just doesn’t look good. I’m disappointed.
