Shipping exceeded expectations!
Great Ball for warming up prior to playing. Also using it to help break on a new gamer.

Emphasizes proper throwing form which allows you to zing a game ball around, but can injure you if you throw with poor mechanics
Play in a slow pitch adult softball league twice a week and have used these to warm up for throwing before games for over 10 years now. There are lighter weighted balls on the market, but I prefer this one because it is heavier than everything else I've found.I've found that the extra weight helps me focus on proper throwing form or else I'd throw out my elbow if I just flung this around, and it also helps me stretch my muscles a bit quicker than I would if I warmed up throwing a regular weighted softball. For adults who have never used this product, start out close and slow. I'm middle aged and my first few tosses are from about 12 paces from my throwing partner. Start out with a slow and exaggerated throwing motion, being sure to follow through and then work your way to greater distances to what you're comfortable with. After about 15+ tosses, I finish my warmup tosses with a regular softball that comparatively feels like nothing in my hands and it's a good feeling to zing the ball around the field in games afterwards. They do bounce funny (like those small rubber "super balls" we played with as kids), so I wouldn't recommend warming up solo against a wall or trying to short hop them if your throwing partner throws short.

Great tool for catchers, too!
Good quality weighted ball. My daughter uses this for practice as a catcher to be work on keeping strikes in the strike zone after catching the ball. The pitcher she usually catches for has a rocket of an arm, so when she catches the ball, it can push her glove ever so slightly, and sometime this is enough to put the catchers glove just outside the strike zone. I've been throwing this to my daughter every few days for 30-50 pitches per session, and she's been able to really work on her glove positioning strength to keep the glove in the strike zone. These are also, and probably more commonly, used as a pitcher's tool. But it's worked great to help my daughter as catcher. At 12 years old, she's an itty bitty small girl, and this cannonball has helped quite a bit to build strength.

Great Weighted Ball For Softball Pitching Drills/Training
The Cannonball comes in 3 colors (Blue, Red, Yellow). In the winter I take my daughter to an indoor facility to practice and for pitching lessons. The blue and red Cannonballs are difficult to see in the florescent light of the indoor facilities. Outside, it is not an issue. If you are going to be practicing inside, I suggest going with the yellow Cannonball.

good product and on time.
this is a great training ball for softball. you need to be careful as you cannot catch it like a regular softball. the added weight is something to remember when working out. use it to play catch with someone, just be careful, i forgot the first time i tried to catch it that it weighted considerably more than a regular soft ball and strained my shoulder. BUT totally my fault. still a very good tool for strength training.

This thing is awesome. Its not meant to be thrown hard
This thing is awesome. Its not meant to be thrown hard. Quick little warm up with this ball before moving onto a standard ball and it feels like I'm throwing heat. Very much worth it.

Helped improve throwing
I love it- it really helps my throwing. Just make sure to not throw as hard as you would throw a regular ball or you will hurt yourself. It's also a good idea to throw around a regular ball right after using this one so that you don't throw the ball over someone's head during a game.
