Pitcher Plant - Sarracenia Purpurea - Carnivorous Plant

I can’t believe how pretty this plant is. It is better than I expected. It was missing an instruction, but the seller was very responsive and sent me the instruction sheet. The plug was still moist which kept the plant in very good condition. My only issue is the plug a little bit too long for the 3 inch pot that it came with. Otherwise, I am very happy with this purchase from this vendor. In fact, I bought 3 other carnivorous plant from this vendor and happy with all of them.

Was looking for a pitcher plant to add to my collection. There are many variations of this pitcher plant, but the Sarracenia Rosea is perfect window / outdoor plant. I purchased it a bit early in the season and I hope it'll thrive when the temperature gets warmer. I will be moving this pitcher plant outdoors when the temperature hits a stable +65oF with my other venus fly traps. The pitcher was shipped from CA to CT and it took only like 4-5 days. By the color of the leaves, it looks like it hasn't gone into dormancy? Not sure. The pitchers have a nice redness to them, which indicates they had a healthy dose of direct sunlight and healthy watering. There weren't too many dead pitchers yet. One of the largest pitchers looks like it's starting to die...perhaps from the stress from delivery or the temperature change? Overall, the pitcher plant looks extremely healthy and mirrors the seller's pictures. The order included a small plastic pot, moss, and instructions. **Do remember to water it with only reverse osmosis water/rainwater.** I'm currently using reverse osmosis water for all my other carnivorous plants. By summer and with a ton of direct sunlight, these pitchers should be really vibrant.

Good condition, well packaged. Should put Venosa Red in the name, but that is my fault for not looking closely. This is way overpriced. It is priced like a purpurea purpurea, but 4" Venosa Red sell for $10 on other very good sites. I only purchased because I thought it was purpurea purpurea and was ordering other stuff. Venosa Red are NOT good in any climate. They are a southern pitcher. Purpurea purpurea is the one that can handle cold weather. Seller, POST THE CLIMATE ZONE on your plants. Some misleading information in the discription. 3 stars for price and needs better information.

Sarracenia Purpurea arrived in decent condition. The pitchers were dry, which was expected. Pitchers have decent colors and there are multiple signs of new growth. Plant did arrive with 40% dried, blackened pitchers; however, the plant seemed in overall good health and the dead pitchers were pruned.

Love the moss sent compt @ no charge. Repotted and so sweet!

it's rare that I write a review, but I have to do it in this particular time. my plant arrive in a package that not only was well put but I felt that the person that make it put extra care. My plant arrive healthy and beautiful, I am so happy about Debbie (name's plant) , she is taking care of the flies around. She is my "beautiful lethal badass" thank you!

Healthy, good size, good moisture content, good color . I am very pleased.
