Made cutting 6" and 8" holes in the trunk duct very easy and quick.

I knew I had to cut 8 new 6" duct takeoffs for my finished basement and I was not looking forward to it. So I went looking for a tool to reduce my likely frustration. I did not want to spend a ton since I was going to be doing this hundreds of times, but I wanted it to work. I think this tool hits the sweet spot of cost vs performance. It is simple to use and takes about 2 minutes or so to cut a hole. It makes a super clean hole, with only the last 1/8" or so needing to be cut with a snip tool (or bent back with pliers). Its also nice that the tool helps keep your hand away from the cut edges. Would buy again.

Disliked the bits. Both bits broke withing first two weeks. Other than that very great and useful product.

Without any instructions, I wasn't sure how to drill the centering hole size. Apparently, it should be smaller than the tapered centering pin. I made it a touch larger (pin dropped all the way into the hole) and cut a terrible circle with ends not meeting up. The cutting process through 1/16 aluminum sheet was a lot slower and more work than I expected. I bought this expecting it to work better/easier and creating a cleaner hole. Instead, I got a messy hole and I really wish I had just saved money and gutted it out with my saber saw instead. Not sure I'll ever use it again.

I’ve cut about 20 holes with it. It works great.

It worked very well. I cut a 6” diameter hole in my plenum and the starter sleeve fit just fine. I went slow and it took roughly 1.5-2 minutes to cut the hole. I went clockwise and the edges on the whole were relatively clean and smooth. No directions included so I had to watch a couple of videos to see how it is done. Very pleased with the results.

So far it’s been great, I’m using it for work on hvac rough in’s. It’s definitely cutting it.

So helpful in making big duct holes. So helpful on my job as a duct cleaner. I broke the first bit at first use, but has been using the second that came with the package for almost 6 months now.

Did its job and worked well. Could use a somewhat longer bit.

What a cool tool! Cuts perfect circles in tin for covering up abandoned plumbing cans in parkade.When using the tool don’t force it or the bit will break. Just let the tool do it job and you’ll be happy with this purchase
