Historic Costume in Pictures (Dover Fashion and Costumes)

I noticed a copy of this book at a friend's house. After looking through it I knew I had to have my own copy. As soon as I returned home I ordered my own copy. I am delighted to have such an informative book !

an excellent reference book for artists and costumers with regard to the costume of western Europe and the Mediterranean from Pharonic times to the late nineteenth century... with an addendum to the ancient far east, as well.A must have for any artist doing period art or costumer doing medieval costuming.

I was so impressed by how well this book was packaged.Book is in beautiful black and white illustrations and worth every penney.Would buy from this seller again.

Incredibly disappointing. I foolishly failed to read past the point where they cut off the description, and so I assumed that the plates were in color, as the original German printing was in color. Instead, the beautiful color prints have been rendered in black and white, and the book's introduction has the gall to present this as a positive feature! I can honestly say that I've never been so frustrated upon receiving a product.

Still use this book as a reference. Must-buy for costumers!

I was extremely disappointed in this purchase. Most of these pictures can be found on the internet in COLOR and for free!

over the top illustrations, fun and instructive

Il libro è veramente bello e nelle illustrazioni si vedono anche i più piccoli dettagli. C'è un però... le immagini in realtà sono in bianco e nero e da amante del costume avrei preferito fossero a colori e sono messe orizzontalmente probabilmente per risparmiare, ma questo le rende non molto grandi.

Il libro è conforme a quanto richiesto, purtroppo non riesco a dare ulteriori informazioni perché trattasi di regalo, comunque è stato apprezzato
