Eastman 2 Inch IPS No Caulk Brass Shower Drain, Stainless Steel, 15306

The bathroom remodel includes a large cast shower base by Castico - quite nice by the way - and I needed to install a shower drain prior to placing the base. I was already to order a plastic one since that is what I normally use. But at the last second I decided to do a search to see what possibilities were available.Much to my surprise, for very little more I found this brass drain. Considering the cost of any brass item these days I had a hard time believing it would be a quality product. But since Amazon is really good about accepting returns I decided why not give it a try.I really do not know how you make a profit making something like this for the selling price, but I have absolutely no complaints. I will be using a different strainer, or drain cover, but the body and the locking collar are very well made, and it includes a rubber washer as well as little wrench of sorts for using a screwdriver to tighten the drain.Really nice drain for what I consider to be a remarkably cheap price.

Very nice looking excellent brass drain. Installation was easy despite the absence of any written instructions. The drain should work with 2-inch piping. I had a 1-1/2-inch one, so I bought an additional bushing adapter from the same manufacturer. 2-inch bushing goes to waste. It would be great if the manufacturer offered an option to buy a drain with an insert of the right size.

Works great, installs easier than a glue in. But check the box before beginning. Mine was missing the stainless steel grille.

Great quality at a great price solid brass and stainless steel, I've used Eastman/Ez-Flow products for years never had a problem.

Well made and easy to fit on new instalation

it is sturdier than the plastic ones. the rubber seal is softer than other alternative product, which make it tolerate installation variances, without excessive tightening.you can feel the burs from thread machining, but it is good enough for the application here. burs could be removed by polishing, but will add cost, i prefer low cost, than unecessary perfection.the installation tool provide is also stronger than that comes with the plastic alternatives

Exactly the product I was looking for. Could not find this in two major hardware stores. Easy install, competitive price and looks great! A good buy.

Good product, but no instructions, so I had to guess what order the gaskets went on. Says installs from the top, but I had to do it from the bottom before installing the shower base. Not sure how I would ever removed it if I needed to. Better than plastic though so you don't have to worry about cracking anything by over tightening, so the peace of mind is work the extra cost.
