The value here is outstanding for what you're getting. I am very pleased with the performance of these. For about a month I was watching, in particular, Polk in-Ceiling speaker options and I finally just bit the bullet thinking I settled based on the price of these. The packaging and everything needed to install was great. Two were installed and turned on in two hours. I didn't know how much of an effect 7.1.(2) would make in a system, but so far it's incredible.

I decided I wanted a new sound system for my garage after a remodel and I chose these to mount in the ceiling and pair them with a KLH subwoofer. Wow... I made the right choice. I could have spent more but these have a wonderful crisp sound and handle the frequencies the sub needs to create a full sound in the room. Installation could not have been easier. I think it took about 3 minutes per speaker to mount them in the holes my drywaller had cut for me using the provided template. Working on my cars will be a lot more enjoyable now.

Using a pair for surround in my 7.1 setup. Very clear with decent bass. Thanks, Polk!!

I have added these to upgrade my surround from 5.2 to 7.2 and they sound great.

More like 8.5", which made installation more difficult because I wasn't expecting their considerable size (granted, I could have read the entire ad).That said, I doubt there's a better speaker for $65. Well constructed with solid materials, and although I'm no audiophile they sound fantastic to me. Strong bass saturates room, and true RMS handling of high loads. Would highly recommend.

Sounds great, impressive for a ceiling speaker
