Incredible Value For the Price
ProsYou can definitely see quite a ways in the dark with these. Nothing crazy but for about $60, you cant complain too much. The picture quality is very good as well, daytime quality is good too.I got mine damaged and the seller shipped a new pair out the same day no questions asked. The new pair worked great. Also the settings menu is pretty extensive which I like a lot.ConsIt does feel really light but as long as you dont abuse them and take care of them like you should, they'll last. The screen brightness has a setting for Low, Medium, and High, but even Low is too high and destroys your natural night vision, your eyes have to readjust to the dark after looking at it.The IR levels are nice, theres a red light you can see from the front of the goggles when night vision is on but if you have it set to the lowest level it shouldn't be too noticable. Not really a con but would be nice to see an adjustable zoom feature. The quality of the camera definitely seems high enough to be able to increase the zoom and retain a usuable picture quality. The buttons are a bit to get used to but once you get them down its not too big of a deal.Would absolutely recommend for the price. Very fun to play with and even in the daytime as digital binoculars if you really wanted to.

a rare gem of value and affordability
The media could not be loaded. My career is as an artist (oil painter), but that has come with the need to be a camera guy of sorts as. well...as you have to be able to share your work. I've used the big three brands, and a few others, for around 25 years now. So I am very comfortable with cameras. I got this night vision camera (the binocular term really only applies to the outward design, as there is only one lens (if you are not familiar with IR gear, and/or this may be your first) as the other "lens" is your on-board IR torch light. So..with that in mind...I got this to deal with a pest issue in my detached garage that local big name pest control has thus far been unable to correct...and on my first night of testing, I thought "self...you're an astronomy buff and night watcher...turn this lens to the sky to see how good it is"...because if you know the field of photography as pertains to night video...you know how difficult it can be. I was blown away at how well this little affordable camera works. So much so, I ordered a second just so I could do something I almost never do...which is make a full review of this product. I have tried multiple settings and use-cases...and at the price point, this is a pretty unbeatable value. yes, there are some drawbacks, but again, at the price point, not enough to prevent most people from owning one of these, unless you have very specific use case needs. I highly recommend adding one of these to your gear bags, home safety kits, or just to have for the fun of it. Great value, and I highly recommend. Things to know...there is no magnifying function, so the manual focus can be finicky, and you will sometimes miss your shot if in close range and don't have much time to focus. But, I have found that situation rarely occurs under most conditions you might use one of these. Sadly, Amazon only allows the one video clip, so I used a night sky one...as the last moving objects were not visible to the naked eye, and I would never have known they were there. It's the clip that inspired me to try many different conditions and get a second one for full comparison, demonstration of features. It can hold a nice sized memory card, the motion detection has been pretty impressive actually. However, it is a super bright screen even on low, if using at night as intended. so be warned...don't spend much time looking at the screen or you will impair your own night vision with your eyes for a good ten minutes. That said, I can't think of a reason not to get these for the enthusiast...this is an approachable price, and the image quality has been great. Note: I had not set the correct date yet on video sampled here, this clip was just a couple nights ago, not last year. Strangely, the tripod mount is too shallow for any standard camera mount place...I used 1/8" cork self adhesive to fill the gap, and now have a nice stable mount. Not a big issue, but an odd on.So...my take: get one. seriously. great value.

Great little utility
Mine came discharged (so been sitting in shelf for years? ). After charging it, device started just fine.It came with sdcard included (didn't realize, nice!). Didn't check the size.Manual is in English, as well as menus. It's a bit odd to use, but once you practice the buttons (6!), it's just fine!On is menu button, all sorts of settings, you navigate with two other buttons, and enter/ok selections with forth.Thers a mode button switching between recording video/ picture / neither. It would've been nice to have a video/photo buttons separately, just for convenience, but this does the job so and so.The buttons are hard to reach, in the middle top of the device. I've big hands, so not a huge downside, but someone with shorter fingers might need to reach them. Also buttons are not illuminated, which is ODD! Device is targeted for DARK places, so would make sense have them with red faint light. And buttons should be on the sides for better reach.IR led has 7 brightness levels. I didn't see them highlighted in the screen anywhere, but you can cycle thru from off to 7 and off again. Same two buttons also activate the digital zoom up and down when long pressing.Device has manual focus. It's also not easy to reach like in regular binoa, hut actually on the left front facing lens. Works though. The display is really bright! Even on lowest setting. Again, this is a DARK use device, so it feels bit odd, and it'd be best if display was RED instead of white light. Everytime you use this, use loose your dark vision due to white light.Clearly design engineer was over his head and failed to perfect this - or just lacked knowledge :)Other than that, I'm very happy with it! It does what it promises, I didn't test the reach of IR led, though. For the price of this, perfect little tool that seems to work just perfectly!
